The Airport Security do scans all Parcels and Packages that are sent from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah & Sarawak. From what I have experienced is that they do the scanning randomly. Most of the time Airsoft Guns (Plastic or Metal) are usually detained at the KLIA Police when they are found during their security scans.

I do see Duke999's point... this is getting out of hand especially when underage kids starts to abuse the use of these replicas. They may not be mature enough to handle these past time hobbies as these mere replicas could be alternatively modified for other abusive purposes or could also causes harm to those aren't careful enough.

Underage teens also have the tendency to show off their new found "toys" to their friends which would also cause another problem for other forumers here as news of these might get into the law enforcement too!

Maybe it is time for us to create a private chat forum to discuss about our hobbies.
