Overall this is usual problem. when putting together is done to form a transmission. the car transmission option will be like below: 1) single clutch + planetary gears + manual = conventional manual car 2) torque converter + planetary gears + auto = conventional auto car 3) torque converter + CVT + auto = modern auto car (CVT based like city, inspira) 4) double clutch + planetary gears + auto = fiesta, the famous DSG term for VW 5) single clutch + planetary gears + auto = ? (no time to find) 6) single clutch + CVT + auto = Preve 7) and etc so the delay when stepping the pedal to below 2k might have been the single clutch closing in(i think higlighted somewhere here before by white_lighter) the same concept as when we are driving a manual car, u press the clutch, go into 1st gear, press some minyak n release the clutch. the delays are on the clutching n de-clutching part. good thing about manually operated clutch is the driver can operate the clutch dynamically or to liking, but not for clutch system which is automated by program. the good thing about single clutch + CVT is the clutching + de-clutching stage is only when static to moving or moving to static. i think this is normal for all auto(mated) car as well This post has been edited by sAm fIsher: Apr 20 2012, 11:26 AM |
