sos ? (tomato prefer  biggrin.gif )

Fact is that maa chart did not show locally-built cars' excise duty, only 4 ckd & cbu.

haiya, so hard to digest, local taxes means same as local. If hard to digest, go to customs website, even have calculation on how local product taxes being calculate.

That is what called afta, foreign as asean made being tax same as locals, not more, not less. U think afta means no tax lor??? :-). Afta means no import tax to asean, but local tax as being tax to local still applied.

Dont be ignorance

It's a 2 piece door design with a untidy welding, the different with other manufacturer is, others polished it.

At least that's what I remember mat explaining it, is it really a big deal ?

Foreign cars no longer subjected to flat 300% tax for a number of years now.

Besides, actually the then 300% tax was for cars above 3000 cc.

Current system has two tiered tax. First, import duty (nil for Asean CEPT, if not mistaken). Another one is the excise duty, that is locally based taxation.

very stupid, as a manufacturing engineer, tat part is considered a sealed part, where it is not the exterior of a car, i will just weld it, and if the weld integrity is there, then what for u go and make that part pretty since ppl are not so dumb to go and look at this kind of place everytime, and they only can see them when they open and close door, heck i don think ppl even really look at those part, who the fk open door and stare at the door inner part for awhile then go out of the car? (only those fuking dumb mofo did this)

Afta is 0 - 5% import tax on afta cars.
Excise duty not specified, in fact not cover under afta.

The tax was raised in 1998.

Then, because of AFTA, then the tax structure was changed in 2005.
