Have U find out how far U are from the exchange, 7.1KM or 7.2KM.

Go to TM point and ask the tech people to do a survey ( F.O.C. ) to determine how good the download is. You may get 512KB by paying for a 1MB line.

Make sure U have the free time to chase after the Tech prople every 3 days.

ADSL signal drops drastically after 5 Km. No way you can get a half speed at 7 Km distance.

TM NUT technicians will hold you in ransom for in-a-box .  Technician will say the installtion is done, but in actual the jumper is NOT installed. You can crying forever for your line blinking problem.

I feared for this when i registered for in-a-box. sweat.gif I remembered breathing a hugh sigh of relief when the DSL lighted up within seconds after installation.

Depends on your luck - you may or may not get unscrupulous TM technicians.

I read it someway that you still can install streamyx even if >5km but have to sacrifice the speed.

Beg at TMNUT and says you are willing to accept the lower speed at your own risk. Maybe sign some document to release them from the responsibility if speed is below expected dl speed. Be pesistent and continue to go to TMNUT

Still cheaper than dial-up for 24\7 even if speed is 385 for a 1 Mb line.

Those who take the free modem package sure will be forced to pay for installation. It's Compulsory. If not how can they give you the so-called "free" modem. This is their trick to recover their cost of the modem.

TMNUT marketing and account are living in the silos. These sicko people never work as a team.

Celcom lost their users because their billing is fulled with errors like in your case. U me have no choice in broadband have to stick to screamyx for time being.

There is streamyx in the Box package for the holiday package free modem. But they will only inform you if you ask them so that they can earn the Rm88 installation fee.

The 2 years contract is to cover for other costs like expansion and maybe extra fat bonuses. The RM88/- for instant recovery smile.gif

fren, I am using 016, not 012 and 013 belong to TM. 016 does not allow 100, 103 etc. from their network.

I called to Maluri TM Point this morning and a tech showed up at my SOHO around 3 PM. He told me someone "misconnected" my phone line when he/she did my streamyx installation.

I can still receive incoming call after misconnected problem occured last week because I used call forwading service to divert to my handohone. Luckily incoming call is working, otherwise I will lose two new customers for nothing.

U know who is the culprit.
