Good day guys... just wanna share my moderate mods to my K5..
Just change my rim yesterday ... 19" wit 245/40/19 Toyo Proxes T1 Sport and lowered my ride wit Eibach sport kit Now my ride is lowered, wit only 2 finger margin... hehehehe... And it makes lots of head turn around .... which make me smiling alone in the car... hahah ha... |

Just drove to ipoh in the morning n back at afternoon... Average speed is 150 - 170... Coz rushing for meeting.. Really stable at highway with moderate road noise... Eibach spring really do their works on long corner at 150 kmh plus my toyo 245/40 less noise compare to nexen.. Hehehehe...
In comfort level only a bit less but satisfied enough for me... Worth every penny spent. Saw a SWP K5 at ipoh wit plate WWR????.... On my way back lots of new and old camry... Even manage to 'cucuk angin' a civic until reach 200 kmh... Can still go further but dare not as my odo just only 1500++.. will go for 1st service tomorrow morning.... Happy wit K5 so far.... |

QUOTE(shah mad @ Jul 12 2012, 04:18 PM) Look awesome Trade in for 2300.00 n top up 5k.... Tyre size is 245/40/19... Highway cornering moderately improved in term of stability but at a bit cost of comfort... Normal driving was the same in my opinion.. Steering feel was slightly heavy than standard.CM98: thanks for your comment, you indeed answered your own queries... |

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jul 12 2012, 06:36 PM) Ermm...dunno...but i still think the stock rims are better. The car design gives it a solid feel so if the rims have 'holes', then its sorta looks disconnected. This rim design might look better on a lighter coloured body. But thats just my taste i guess. Agreed with CM98... Been through with Optimaforum.com gallery... Most of the k5 owner changed to 20" rims and design... Maybe because their spec are 2.4 so 20" is not a prob for them. Can get some idea on rims design from there... |

QUOTE(joonnyx @ Jul 16 2012, 12:09 AM) Hi, the fuel consumption is not too bad, on average I get about 650KM per full tank of abt RM 125 and my driving style varies...i travel at about 140km/h daily as I commute from Damansara to Cyberjaya for work everyday...Power is adequate when you are driving alone.....but when you have 5 people in the car, its better to just cruise Just wanna share my exp regarding jumpy steering... i've changed my tyre to Toyo T1 Sport 245/40/19 and i still encounter the jumpy steering issue...Handling is good with no complains, standard tires a bit noisy though but this can be rectified by upgrading to quieter ones.....not sure if chaning to a new set of tires would rectify that "jumpy steering" symptom..I do notice that wind noise is apparent once you go past 120KM on the driver side...but some forummers have mentioned that buying those rubber strips from jayongmall would lessen the exterior noises..you can always consider those 3rd party soundproofing if its not quiet enough for you...its not that bad though.. All in all no regrets and loving each day with the car... |

QUOTE(ericfinn @ Jul 31 2012, 08:02 AM) Price depends on what you want for ur ride.... Ranging from 980 to 3800 for autofoam, separate charge for sound proofing... The effect was great... Worth every penny spent... Hehehehe...Added on July 31, 2012, 11:05 pm QUOTE(daretodrift @ Jul 31 2012, 10:48 AM) Shop is at jalan ipoh, behind Ambank...
