I'll tell u this. Reliability of the older Kia models were crap. New models, nobody knows as its still new. But older Kia models did not have the Chief Designer for Audi during their time.

I thought the chief designer is only for the looks and design of the car. Does he have anything to do with the engineering and reliability of the new models?

No la. I had this problem with my previous car as well despite silicon wipers. Kia changed my wipers FOC but still no difference. I dont think its the motor as the sound is from the blades.

So it's the wiper blades squeaking against the windscreen?

Silicon wipers are no guarantee against squeaking. U can try Rain X, this does help to "lubricate" the glass but of course it is not permanent and you have to reapply every few weeks.

Perhaps try a different brand of normal rubber wipers?

Ive had 2 bad experiences with sales personnel from Red Cube PJ and also Kia Jalan Lahat, Ipoh. Sadly both were of a certain race (i dont need to mention which race). Both were damn lazy, didnt keep to appointments and didnt even bother to return calls when i was enquiring bout my trade in car evaluations. And all this was despite the fact that they both knew that i was a serious buyer and i had already made up my mind to buy. Finally, i dumped both of them and booked with another outlet in Ipoh.

Did you get your car from Deluxe Point in Greentown?

Yes. Why?

I'm also considering a Kia and have been going to see them. Just wanna see what others have experienced with them.

U have any comment on the service level of the SC in Jln Lahat?

But now ive managed 80.26L. My distance travelled was 780km. This consisted of 80% highway driving at 160-170kmph and the rest in city traffic. Quite good i must say. The fuel economy is improving as the car gets more mileage. biggrin.gif

That's only about 9.7 km/l. Would that be considered good for 80% highway? Though you were going at 160-170 kmh.

Say, at that speed what is your rpm?
