My next concern is maintenance. Had a couple of hiccups/bad experience with both SC; my wife drives a Hyundai, my mom has a Naza make. Both cars' spare parts are comparably expensive, but maybe because theirs are older gen. My mom serviced hers at Kia SC BBK Klang, and most of each visits sure diagnosed with a problem, then the techies 'gladly' insist on changing this and that. Less trouble from my wife's car since its a CBU.

are you referring to JEN WEY MOTOR? I have been there couple times, and always deal with the malay chap there, its been a while hence forgot his name, but he speaks well in chinese thumbup.gif

He had always been very helpful and recommends on where to get certain parts cheaper.

I own an older version of Optima, love it, K5 is in my list but not now, due to my other financial commitment. I wouldnt think twice to go with Optima. Even my model I get 13km/L on hghways.

SInce I'm not bound by warranty, i service my car at a known trusted shop and buy my own parts from spare parts or from LYN sellers here. The parts price are way cheaper.

WHenever I have any typical Kia issue, I go to SC to diagnose, nowadays, I bring my car to Hyundai SC. Found a trustworthy guy in Sunway biggrin.gif

I agree that not fair to compare FC on a test drive car but just wanted to get actual data from bros who already have the car to see on average how much the FC is. From what I see, for majority highway it's abt 1L for 10.5km and city drive is about 1L for 8.5km as posted by everyone. Many thanks for your input. Do you know if this is the about the same as fuel consumption for other D segment cars like Accord, Camry and Sonata? tq.

It will be easier to read and discuss if every feedbacks based on either km/L or L/100km

generally if you median drive ( not the hard acceleration type); you should get about 10km/L for city and 13km/L for highway.
basically your speed doesnt exceeds 110km/h

hope that helps.

3M crystalline is good. But I dont think have security film. Just heat rejection. I am not sure.
RM 2200 including moonroof is a very good deal already.

I notice it changes during start up. Say u shut off ur engine in circulation mode, then start up again,  it may switch over to allow outside air in. On a rainy day like tis morning in kl, the front windscreen still became foggy. Had to switch on the front demister. Strangely theres like warm air blowing from the front.

Its programmable at ECU level, take it to SC and get it programmed. There are lot of things that can be set, talk to your SC guys.

Some of it can be done by user as well, such as aircon; but there is a process like number of times you need to depress the aircon combination button (its been so long, forgotten now)
