Guys how to go to the front wheel alignment screen?
*
This feature is to remind you that your steering wheel is not align when you park your car and this only come out at the monitor cluster after you start your vehicle.

Objective : It's a warning sign that your "steering wheel is not align @ in straight position before you paddle the car after park to avoid miss steer and bang the road curb or others obstacle that not in your eyes radar.

How to test:

1) Park your car with full left or full right of the steering wheel.

2) Push off your engine.

3) Start again.

4) The cluster monitor will come out with "wheel alignment sign"

This can be reset by steer it according the direction of the monitor cluster.

Meaning the sterring wheel must be in full left or right position? How about half left or half right?
*
Full right or left is just for simple test of the feature, by the detection, its start from one full rotation of steering wheel = quarter right or left.

But 1 thing which caught my attention before and it did again this time was the audio system. Despite all the correct settings, i didnt get the surround sound experience. Most of the sound seemed to be coming from the front speakers. A sound setting at 6 would be just nice for the front but rear passengers would probably hear it as a 3 or 4. I only got the surround sound feeling when i adjusted the fader and put +3 for the rear. Doesnt seem right at all. Are you guys experiencing the same?

*
Yup, mine set at +4 for the rear and the sound will be at the center of the cabin, it's all about the speakers set, location and direction which normally if set at “0” the driver will received more sound wave as the direction of from left tweeter, front centre and right tweeter reflected by the slanted wind shield with additional of side speaker at the front door left and right compare to the back passenger.

By the setting (fader at “0”), it’s standard for stereo set up (for songs) which the sound direction is from front but if you are really a movies kaki, surrounds is a must especially when you are really addicted with DTS and listening to the songs with stereo will felt something missing.

Same with this steering issue. If u had cared to actually stop talking so much and actually start reading carefully what ppl actually say, u would have realised that i did NOT say this problem only comes at high speed. Its there even at low speed over bumps & uneven roads but the problem gets worse when you car speed increases (which is the common law of physics). The units in the US are facing more serious problems but thats probably due to the fact that their cars there are older since the K5 was launched earlier.

Cyber,

I did experience it twice on my ride when did a long curve cornering over 80kmh with bumps and uneven roads, but just thought its normal when the car tuned with stiff suspension.

What I can think now it’s probably related wif:
1) Suspension
2) Tire pressure

Since suspension has been sorted out, maybe, just maybe bro. try to reduce more your tire pressure ( – 5 from the spec ) as to reduce bouncing effect when hit uneven road. Just my two cents.

Guys, i'm 26 and really keen to own Kia Optime K5, but few people thinking better get Kia Forte so that matched with my age. Well, i don't normally listen to people, but sometime, when i looked at that car, it feel it suits better to someone who are around 30-40 plus.

Well, just to know if the owner of this car are around the age ( 30-40++) and what do you think when someone who are 26 own this great car, what is your perception towards him/her? biggrin.gif

I am 45...I would sure go for Optima K5 if I achieved the current financial status at the age of 26 coz it is simply awesome  rclxms.gif

K5, nothing wrong for 26, it's suits well for you with the design, speed, power and financial status, but if your financial status really strong and affordable, go for Beamer 325i or perhaps 535i...Baru awek keliling pinggang bang...termasuk la hutang ko sekalik.
