Hi K5 owners,

I'm thinking of upgrading to segment D car from my current ride, and contemplating between accord, teana, sonata and k5. I'm constantly on highway (long distance drive) so I will need something stable and comfortable.

Teana is really comfortable, but the trimming and beige interior not to my liking. Moreover my relative already own one, so gonna skip this. As for Honda, they insist only on 5k interval servicing, even with fully syn. This really turns me down; once a Honda, nvr a Honda again. This narrows down to Sonata and K5. With all the bells and whistles, these 2 clearly win my votes.

My next concern is maintenance. Had a couple of hiccups/bad experience with both SC; my wife drives a Hyundai, my mom has a Naza make. Both cars' spare parts are comparably expensive, but maybe because theirs are older gen. My mom serviced hers at Kia SC BBK Klang, and most of each visits sure diagnosed with a problem, then the techies 'gladly' insist on changing this and that. Less trouble from my wife's car since its a CBU.

I googled up their maintenance chart, only found optima (no idea if its the latest or older gen). Its definitely cheaper than accord. How's sonata compared to k5 in terms of maintenance? Anyone serviced theirs at BBK Klang and what are your experiences with them?
