OMG! is there any way for us to complain about NAZA? I mean if the have to pay the tax then they should instead of holding up the vehicle at our expense.

Does anybody know when NAZA will sort out AP issues ?
Normally how long it takes for MITI to process the appeal ?

bUGG & zapirwin..
How long already you wait for the car..?

Pass thru federal highway just know... 4 snow white are stranded in front of the showroom waiting for the owner to collect them..! Huhuhu.. cry.gif

About the same with bro bUGG. 5 weeks.

Be patient. Waiting a few weeks or even months for the K5 is still well worth the wait. The Optima is truly a great car. Its not perfect but it stands head and shoulders above the other Jap models out there and goes head to head against the VW Passat. Keep the faith (and the patience) and u will not regret it for sure. Trust me.

Aye....what ye say make sense. However sometimes its easier to say than to do. Believe me, not a day gone by where i've not thought about Amy, my K5. cry.gif

I just feel that NAZA should be responsible instead of causing heart ache to those who are waiting. If the wait is due to lack of stock that one I can understand. But Amy is just there waiting for me to pick her up.....thats painful. cry.gif

If the wait is due to shortage of stock that i can understand. It is expected. But this..... Car is already there. It is just teasing us.

Also dont like it when the love for the car is used as an advantage for NAZA to drag the whole AP issue.

Read Kia's respond on bro bUGG's facebook page and I'm not too happy about it. NAZA will only be certain that the AP issue can be resolved if they pay it. If NAZA is only going to leave it to the discretion of MITI on approving their appeal then it makes no difference if NAZA say 'another 3 weeks' or a SA said it.

If taxes are due then NAZA should just pay it. I dont see what benefit will MITI gain if they were to approve NAZA's appeal. Unless......

If this goes on, it might affect sales which wil eventually affect the demand and later the 2nd hand value.

Anyway, just have to pray and wait. tongue.gif

Sigh....whatever the reasons may be, what we do know is 1) that the cars are here; 2) we cant obtained them; 3) the waiting time is longer than what was promised; 4) the delay was not due to our fault; and 5) NAZA need to do something fast to resolve this delay.

Conclusion: Any further delay is NAZA's fault.

Hence, NAZA please sort thid out.

Guys, what's the most u have ever filled your full tank? Mine was 78.95L which i got with my first full tank. Subsequently, ive been filling about 75-77L with my smallest fill of 70L.

And i still cant get my 'distance to empty' at more than 700km. Except for the first full tank, my range has always been below 700km. Dunno why.

May be its the way you drive. Try changing the way you drive. Hope its not a defect.

How is the driving style got anything to do with the range of a full tank? Driving style affects fuel consumption. So for someone who is heavy footed, he may start with say 750km range after filling up a full tank. But the range will start dropping drastically if he is a heavy footer. Thats how the distance to empty works. Its never a fixed value and it will fluctuate depending on your driving style. When you driving style is very economical, it just takes longer for your range to drop.

But what im refering to here is the initial distance to empty just after filling up say 75L before the car even moves. Mine has always been below 700km despite my driving style. Only once i managed to get about 750km.

But i can usually travel about 600km before i fill up with about 3 bars of fuel left. My speed is usually around 170-180kmph on the highway.

I heard somewhere that not only can the car inform you on ur distance to empty when u are driving (according to ur driving style), it can also record the way you drive. That is why it will review the initial distance to empty (according to ur driving style). Don't know how true is this. Don't have the car to test it out yet. Still waiting for good news from my SA. May be bro CB98 can help test this theory out. Sure hope its not a defect. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Too many bashing around in this thread. I don't think people should undermine each others predicament. This discourages other people to voice out their opinion or predicament when forumers here are criticizing/undermining their problems. We are all on the same boat here. We choose to purchase the k5. To each problems is to their own. It is and will be a concern to everyone who choose to purchase the k5. Lets make peace and not war k.

Here's some info for all of you. I did some reading up on the net regarding my so called problem with the Distance to Empty reading (DTE). It was only in my 1st full tank that i managed to get about 750km DTE but in subsequent full tank fill-up's ive always got less than 700km.

Based on what ive read, the DTE is not calculated just on the amount of fuel in your tank. It also takes into account your average fuel consumption of your previous 300-500km. So if i was speading at 180kmph for the last 300km, then in my next full tank fill up, the car will take this FC into account to calculate the current DTE range.

Thats why i got a high DTE on my first full tank and not in the subsequent ones.
So i was right then biggrin.gif biggrin.gif it does have some memory thingy.
