I strongly feel that Rafa would take us to the top if its not because of the two evil yanks. Be it FSG or a better owner back then Rafa wouldn't had to sell players to get a new one. The declined in his last season in charge is not his fault alone.. the senior players doesn't really shows up in matches. The morale is low and their heads is fill with the crap stories thrown by the media. In the end, apart from H&G.. I honestly think that player powers bring him down. Some fans forgot, if its not because of Rafa's openly critical of H&G and telling the world H&G true face.. then the fans would slow to retaliate against them.
As for Ged, he never the same again after the heart surgery. We would have won it that year if its not because of that heart attack. Ged's last couple of seasons is nothing but 1-dimensional play with over reliance on Owen. He out of ideas, the team stalled and going nowhere.
I'd like Kenny to stay for a couple more seasons, if not as long Rafa then maybe 3 years like his contract stated. He deserves time to rebuild. We could see how good the played after he took over from Roy. Now that Commoli has gone, the pressure of signing players fall on Kenny shoulder. Let see what he will do. I hope he will scrap buying English and look elsewhere.

QUOTE(Rotuham @ Apr 19 2012, 01:23 PM) This guy better be worth his salt.It looks like we are overpaying for british talent again. though i agree 300k is expensive for 16 year old but i think you need to chill a bit. he have a couple more years before he anywhere ready for 1st team. buying talent always a risky business. but its good to know the academy is working hard. i myself think the club should loan him back to crewe since the crewe spokesman said that they plan to play him in the first team. it's good for him to gain experience and liverpool could benefit from that.

last night game was frustrating. it really does sums our season.. tons of chances but mediocre finishing. maybe some might called it unlucky but i rather says that our forwards lacks confident and instinct in goal scoring. if you watched masters game last night, you could see what a proper striker should be: God.
this season couldn't end sooner..

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Apr 25 2012, 11:50 AM) Played mostly on the right and if if he wasn't forced into early retirement because of injury, Gary Neville wouldn't have got as many England caps as he has. Jones was a phenomenon. Plucked from obscurity and made an immediate impact, after being signed by Crewe. Earned his first cap by the end of his first season. I'm certain he would be amongst our best rightbacks ever if he didn't have to retire. My first kit I bought with my own money had his names on the back. Too bad he forced to retired. With Chelsea in the CL final it will help us a bit in the FA final since their attention will be focus on somewhere else. Roman's always wanted a CL cup and they now either need to win it or get 4th spot to be able to play in CL next season.

the system Kenny bring to the team is already working but doesnt succeed because of his signing. in my opinion Kenny's mistake is on the signings and his persistence of starting hendo every game.. make it worst by putting him in the wings.
why i'm saying the Kenny's system works because when all the players click we seems to dominate the opponents. it happened alot this season but only to disappointed with poor finishing from our players and maybe lack of luck. unlucky is not an excuse because good team usually dont need luck to win but i'm willing to count it in this season.
what i can say that next season is vital for Kenny to make it right. i really hope he signs the right player without playing an inflated price. he should shipped out those whose not performing and maybe talk with aqualaini to stay. we need creative midfield like him in the middle. if Kenny not perform next season, then i guess its time for him step down afterwards.
btw, whats with the ugly background image? i hurts my eyes.. so i block that shit out.

QUOTE(Duke Red @ May 9 2012, 12:14 PM) Dudek was a pretty decent keeper la. He did well enough to keep out the promising Chris Kirkland who had just completed an impressive season with Coventry although they were relegated. Why else would Real have signed him as cover for Cassilas? Biscan didn't play in the final but he impressed in the two legs against Bayer Leverkusen. Traore made an important interception in the final against AC Milan. We also started with Harry Kewell who had been out the whole season with injury for some bizzare reason. It was a miracle of sorts which makes Istanbul that much more special. Dudek had his unreliable spell from time to time but he is solid throughout. His perfomance in the CL final alone already sealed his legendary status. THAT double saves was miraculous. Also he was the Dutch league best keeper of the year 2 times in a row before joining us. Back then I was excited when Kewell join us and surely he is the missing puzzle to take us to the top. Too bad his injury prevent him to be was he supposed to be. Good player destroyed by injury. Anyway, next season couldnt come sooner.

we did play some good games this seasons and we could be in better position if its not because of goal post/bar and good keeper denying us. we won a cup and runner up in the other but still i labeled this season as mediocre because of league performance. it also can be say that this season is a transition period for us. if things is not better next season then i'm afraid i'm gonna sided with the delusional fans.
remember, we have Europa next season and it will effect the key players if they play all the games. its up to Kenny to wisely rotate and and sign up new players to cover the whole season. its make it or breake it time for Kenny.

the new kit is boss but fatties like me will look ridiculous in it. though i prefer they put the eternal flame on the crest instead of the back. a symbolic gesture where is near your heart rather at the back of your head. maybe just me being a sentimental old fart.

FSG is yet to be ok owners in my book until they start building the stadium that they promised. at the moment they just like the previous owners, all talk no action. it must be sorted quickly if we want to compete financially.
