i believe having a protective armor against IED is important and at the same time the possibility of using this in urban terrain like on the highway or road would be good. Would be good for peacekeeping mission too
Somehow i believe the base needs some redesigning to cope for different variants and usage. Malaysia's defence industry is still needs heavy investing into. It is really bad policy of the government to just go out and buy buy buy all foreign and leave very little space for local to grow without heavy support on certain level of self reliance. Would be good for peacekeeping mission too unless you are going for full redesign on the hull. it is unlikely armor vehicle like av8 class will have full effective defense on IED.if military going to IED prone areas it is better to use MRAP. |

QUOTE(samftrmd @ Mar 3 2013, 01:14 AM) Got aircon inside? got small refrigerator and some drinks inside.Got reactive armor packs? How deep can swim? Range is how far? Armor thickness? Civilian model got? rather then use pole mounted sensor like vingtaqs II, we should consider mounting a small UAV on the vehicles. give the vehicle wider coverage.
