can be detected and used? I think it can detect the thumb drive but will detect it as blank or not properly formatted. Tried in my Note with both GB and ICS ROM.

please give details of your ROM and any specific apps to do that. I tried numerous time to get it read my NTFS 120GB 2.5" hard disk in a USB casing with self-power but fail. Which specific external hard disk you are using?

the only little complaint for Stunner so far is the change of external sd card location to emmc. Need to do some mods to some apps like XScope (the download folder).

Midnote is over-rated. I was on Midnote before this but it has issue here and there in every new build. Change to Stunner 5.0 and never look back. If you need TW and Note's app like S Memo and S Planner, flash ALBA instead.

no, no need to use mobile odin already. Just boot into recovery, flash Abyss Kernel 3.9, reboot recovery (NOT reboot system/phone), then flash any GB rom you want. Sometime restore may not be successful, from my experience, success rate to restore from nandroid backup is only 50%. Flash a complete new ROM is way better and cleaner.

dunno can flash without wipe or not. I just setup my stunner 5.0 nicely.

mine exactly the same, no problem so far. My 3-year-old favorite game - he keep watching the opening scenes.

i am stuck with Stunner at the moment. All the TW ICS rom will give my Note callerID problem.

AlBa is really nice, tried the V2 after i flash stunner. But it also cause callerID problem on my Note. So no choice flash back to Stunner. But after more than a week with Stunner, no complaint - a very nice, smooth and fast rom.

yes, agree, ALBA is the best TW ICS rom i tried, not yet try V3 though. Midnote is really too overated - tedious installation process and buggy TW interface (fc here and there).

Tomorrow off day, may try ALBA V3. Dunno miracle will happen to my Note or not (curing the callerID bug on TW ICS rom).

i also dun understand why the dev dun follow "normal" standards - put the external sd at "external_sd". Some apps require manual change of directory to point to the modified path.

just finish download too on my laptop tether to G.Note on DiGi. will flash it in office after lunch.

hi, Benny need you advice - recently i have problem copying file from my computer/laptop to Note recently. The progress at Windows will just hang. Clicking Cancel at Windows will just hang too - meaning the Copying windows will not close itself. Then at the Note side, i disable USB storage but it will just stuck. It is still responsive - i can long press Power button and the power menu will pop up but selecting reboot or turn off the phone make no feedback. Pulling the USB cable solve the windows side hanging. But need to pull battery of the Note to recover.

Tried copy to sd card and internal memory, same problem. So not likely the sd card got problem - 2 months old 32GB Sandisk Micro Ultra.

Thought of USB brick but from google, i found USB brick more serious - cannot even charge. Mine not so serious, just cannot copy files, tethering from Note still works. Initially it happens in GB rom and becoz i was in a hurry to go out, i just pull the cable. After that took out the sd card and put into card reader and scan by computer for file corruption - no issue found. Flash to stunner also same problem. Wanted to flash .25 just now but cannot copy via cable T.T

any idea on what is the issue and its solution is much appreciated.

LOL... maybe time for me to try Alba V3, i have problem with callerID all along with TW ICS rom, including Alba V2.

tried searching in XDA but i think that info is buried somewhere - just a quick question - how to solve the half-root problem? reflashed the first leaked CF ICS chinese leaked rom with mobile odin?
