it's too bad i didn't backup polaris office from my GB rom cause it's part of Note's app.

Found it. I was looking for it under the batch section.

Where is the batch section? actually ~

For Gingerbread..TW is the smoothest compared to other 3rd party launcher. Though you still can use 3rd party launcher if you want to.
ICS official not yet but a few custom roms that based on leaked ICS is available to play with :-)

How long does it need to restore Polaris? App so big meh?

Try installing this apk from my box . I don't think you can direct install it as it is part of GB rom. No harm trying. If cannot install, use root explorer and copy it to /system/app and restart phone and see whether it will auto install
Don't you do a Titanium Backup of all your apps before flashing other roms ? It is a very good practice

benny, that polaris office apk working fine on stunner?

Tried restoring with app + data and with app only.
Both options doesn't work. Not sure what went wrong.

YES - perfect - no issues at all. Actually I dont use Polaris. I purposely restore it from my TB backup to test it in Stunner and extract the apk file and now share it

I can't paste into /system/app.
It prompts me the folder is read only. Does it mean I do not have full root capabilities?

That means your backup is corrupted. Try install my apk file as advised above posts

seem u encounter same prob as me when i do restoring from TB backup..restoring stuck at some point right..then it stop moving..even u reboot got same error..but as me i know what apps that make my TB restoring stuck..1 apps name pocket cloud seem to be the culprit..as i skip that apps then my restoring dont face any problem..so maybe 1 of ur apps be the culprit..

Recently I changed my motherboard and lost all my data. I have an earlier backup using CWM but after restoring the photos in my sd folder were missing.

I also have a previous backup using Titanium backup Pro but the photos were still missing?

Is there a way to recover photos stored in the sd card folder of the note?
