EFS backup just take 1 sec using Hellcat k tool. Do it now if you like to flash Roms

Connect phone w pc lah. Pull down taskbar select usb connection. Your phone internal sd will be shown as another drive in pc.Just copy it over

Writing guides I need to assume user must have basic knowledge how to use phone. If not I need to start from ABC which is something I won't do.

Some of my impressions on the various ICS roms I have tested

AOPK vanilla ICS : best I would say is Stunner 1.4.19 - it has lierally no bugs ; if any I have yet to come across. It is seamlessly smooth and slick with Nova launcher ( I suggest drop the default Apex launcher ). You can replace S Memo apps with its built in Supernote for basic note writing or paid app Jotter ( US$4.99) with additional features of adding in images ( but cannot cut n paste from the images ) . Highly recommended if you do not need the S memo much
Next is M3dDog Liquid smooth - it is also as good as Stunner , only aspect I do not like is the inability to remove the built in Navigation soft buttons. It is not necessary as the Note itself already has it and is an eyesore to me. Also screen display estate is reduced. Some minor freezes at times. A very lean rom , only 100 MB size download vs 200 MB of Stunner

ICS with Samsung apps ( spen functions ): Midnote used to be the leader with v3.3. However its latest update Team 1.0 is disappointing as now comes with occasional FC on screen capture and S memo. You need to download 2 about 600 MB rom ( total 1.2 GB) files to install this rom
Leading this pack, I would say is Alba v2 - I do not see such freezes as Midnote Team v1.0. It is I would say is much better and slicker than Midnote Team v1.0. Another good alternative is Criskelo V2 ( LP6) , the only bug I see is the occasional FC on SMemo apps. I would say this rom is more stable than Midnote Team 1
Midnote developer has recently been attacking both Alba and Criskelo for stealing his scripts in their rom. Well if these guys did really steal, I would say they are doing a better job than Midnote. Both of these roms just need a single 500+ Mb download

Anyway just my impressions. Your opinion might be different from mine

Chrome is pretty good too , only point I do not like its fonts even I set at largest is still too small. Font size settings is best in ICS+ browser
For Gingerbread rom, my choice is XScope follow by Boat and Dolphin HD

I am dropping off XScope from my ICS rom mainly for its buggy Bookmarks editing ; other than that t is still the fastest browser in both GB and ICS platforms

Worst browsers which I will never want to use - Opera and Firefox. Anyway that is my opinion though I do know some users swear they are good but not for me

Alba v3 is coming up soon anytime these few days

Asphalt 6 HD running very well on Stunner om 1.4.19. My streamyx line now sucks ; I will upload a video later showing it can be run. Video I cut off the opening movie scenes

My version is the free version downloaded from Samsung apps store. Absolutely no force closure. See my video later on

This is my video showing Asphalt 6 HD on Galaxy Note ( Stunner rom 1.4.19). Sorry for some lapses in between as was figuring how to play the game !!
The app launches without any problems; absolutely no FC

I have never faced any auto shutdown or auto restart in all the recent ICS roms I have tested. In the earlier versions ( Lp1) I do faced SOD but this was clearly non existent in the newer LP5/LP6 versions of ICS

Those who faced such issues I would say is mainly due to apps - did you install any cracked/pirated apps - these are often the culprit. If you did not, try reflash the rom again. It SHOULD NOT happen.

Don't use any of those battery calibration apps. If you want , just wipe battery stats from recovery - quick and easy
Don't use any apps that tinker with CPU , eg setcpu or any related apps that will underclock/overclock CPU

Stunner is slicker n smoother than all touchwiz based ics roms

RM50 type usually pu leather not genuine leather of rm150 n above. Ask seller if it is not stated clearly
You want good quality consider zenus range

Launch TB ; under tab backup/restore scroll down and look for the deleted app and select restore

BTW, neobuddy of Stunner rom has just released zip version of LP6 KERNEL ( with CWM and SuperSU)

So those on ICS roms with LP5 kernel can now upgrade kernel to LP6 by just flashing it through recovery ; no need to wipe any stuffs
I just upgraded mine Alba V2 LP5 kernel to it
