Hmmm.. Whey protein powder sounds good but what about low fat milk?
Will dumb bell's suffice? Don't have a gym membership as I travel a lot. I have 5kg dumb bell's at home.
*
if you are serious about it. but dont want a gym membership, i would invest in a barbell. ez curl bars take up less space. and you can adjust the weight as you get stronger or adjust the weights depending on what you want to do. its a bit expensive. but convenient. or you can do body weight exercises at home as well. but for me, the gym was always the easiest. because once i'm at home its like.... blehhhhhh.

what do you need to know about low fat milk? with your breakfast as a drink? or mix with the whey? some days i do skim milk and whey for breakfast. lasts me a while. only 200 cal. or if you dont eat the whey you mean? and just drink milk for the protein?

Yep, always buy and eat fresh food. Nothing is worse than processed food, so no matter how much you gym, you will not lose anything if you have a bad diet. I've also written about calorie counting (and how useless it is) here, so it might be some extra help for those who are looking to lose weight.
*
calorie counting helped me lose 27kg. eating 'clean' is good, but not necessary to weight loss. calories in vs. calories out = weightloss. IIFYM then eat it.

Guys,
wanted to know is there any benefits in eating porridge for breakfast?
can it help to regulate bowel movements?
or it's simply a assive carbohydrate intake?
*
if you want to better regulate bowel movements, you should focus on eating foods with a good fibre content. like vegetables, fruits or certain cereals.

I tried eating from little rice to non-rice meals the last time and hey it works! in a month I lost around two kg - because I gorge alot on vege n meat so 2 kg is something healthy.

If fats - eat real clean - with lil fat foods, high GI to make you fuller. Chicken meat - get the fats out and the skin out too. no carbs. and you're on your way!
*
eating fat doesnt necessarily make someone increase the amount of fat they have. nor does it help someone lose fat by avoiding it. a lot of people are now seeing the benefits of eating fat from healthier sources and many are seeing great results from doing a high protein high fat low carb diet. thats how i've been rolling for the past year or so.

btw. low GI foods. low GI foods are digested at a slower pace thus making you feel fuller for longer.

what can porridge help in?
keeping full without too many fat/protein/carb intake?
*
it wont keep you full. i dont really think it will help much at anything really. unless you have some digestive problems, then porridge is much easier to eat and digest. thats why old people take it. if you want something similar you can take oat porridge. if you want to feel fuller longer, i would suggest increasing protein and fat intake. such as a serving of chicken breast and vegetables for lunch would keep you much fuller than just a bowl of porridge.

of course you can also google 'benefits porridge health' and check it out for yourself.

just found this website and watching the HIIT for beginner video.
with my current 110kg weight, some more with my current desk job,
how long should i do the beginner before switching to intense one?

i was doing 'insanity' at 105-110kg (174cm). before you start anything you need to know your body. i was always doing sports and working out so doing some HIIT stuff was fun and a good challenge. but I dont know your body type so cant really comment with a plan or anything. i would start by getting more active, walking more. try take the stairs more often. etc. but the main focus is definately what you are eating.

That's great for you!

I'm only against calorie counting because some sites are quite misleading. Like the example on my post, some sites group organic fruits to be of high calories (an orange can be 62 calories) and compare it to diet soda with 0 calories, and say that the soda would be better.

Which is why I always prefer to not count calories, stick to eating only fresh, non-processed food. Lots of fruits and veggies, some carbs from potatoes (not white rice) and fats from avocados. smile.gif
*
i think the 'whole' & 'non-processed' foods thing is a little overrated. for instance, brown rice is considered non-processed to some. but in fact, the caloric count is the same or even higher than white rice. but to each their own. i'm a IIFYM kinda guy. i wouldnt want to limit myself to food choices to be clean eating. but if you enjoy eating all those clean and whole foods. then i am impressed thumbup.gif i wouldnt be able to handle it. hahah. i need my pizza, roti canai and burgers bruce.gif

Can give this a try, about twice a week, with ample rest days between each time.

http://www.fitocracy.com/knowledge/dr-layn...-in-15-minutes/

What's your height? If you're tall, 64 kg could be a good weight.

Big ass and thighs (muscular plus sufficient fats, not flabby) could be highly sexy.

Don't look at losing weight, emphasis on losing fats.

wah lao. i've tried this and at max resistance how to cycle? even i'm standing and pumping its hard. but will keep trying. maybe not do max. but like 80%.
