My current BMR (basal metabolic rate) is 2480 calories after adding in activity level. I want to reduce intake by 15% which brings the calories intake to 2107.

How does a 'typical malaysian' 2100 calories meal looks like? I never did calories counting before.
*
Three plates of "char koay teow" with double egg and a lil extra lard should get you 2100 calories.

get a better shape of body and cut fat is more important than cut down on weight. Some people can weight 90kg but look fit and firm while maintain low body fat % . If u plan to look skinny then different story la  biggrin.gif
*
It's not only more important, it is the only valid reason.

You'd need a measuring tape and a weighing scale.

Then DIY as below.

Guys, whay to use when cooking scrambled egg? Butter? Oil? What kind of oil? Healthiest option.
*
Any oil that's non-hydrogeneted, non-reused, non-vege, non-canola, non-rancid would be generally fine..

And since you asked for the healthiest option.. Here you go

No, decreased bioavailability in raw eggs. Cook them!
*
That's for the protein right? I guess if one can get access to guaranteed safe eggs, then consuming it raw intermittently would be beneficial, in terms of retaining the micro-nutrients.

Any example of oil that's in the market? Btw I'll take out the egg yolk. Maybe keep 1 only and 4-5 egg whites.
*
Unless it's due to the calories content being over the limit in your daily diet, taking out the egg yolk is a big waste of good food.

About the oil, I don't use much at all and when I do once in a blue moon I cook with Seri Murni.

Btw what I meant by non-vege in the previous post are sunflower, canola, etc.

what if a normal diet and also a basic cardio?
*
Darklight doesn't do cardio but he lifts heavy weights, much more intense and gets better results than cardio.

So its okay if I do cardio for just 2 mins before start weightlifting?
*
What for? You're using up energy before getting on to the real deal. What I do is just take some pure caffeine 15 mins before, do some slight stretching and moving around followed by some light and quick reps to ensure nothing's wrong, then start with the heavy weights.

just to get warm up, let the sweat came out biggrin.gif I also take a cup of coffee b4 workout.
*
No prob with that.. Might be good as well.

Btw my opinion is don't do static stretching before your lifts. Only stretch after the workout. Need to confirm though.

So I should do Dynamic Stretching before workout?

This should answer any questions you'll have..

And by the way.. keep it simple, that's the key to success.

True. Do static stretch after workout. Don't do before workout. Researches has shown that static workout might leads to more injury if done before working out or doing any exercises. I don't remember where I read it but try search for it.

Ok I found it, the link above summarizes most of it.

Guys, is it okay if I drink banana milkshake for lunch. 2 medium bananas with 200ml lowfat milk and 5 cubes of ice. No sugar added.
*
Sounds like your goal is weight loss. No, bananas aren't the best ingredients. They're fully carbs, digested fast, and provide low satiety.

- Too little carbs.
- Fruits are a poor source of carbs.
- Extremely poor micronutrients support.
- Creatine is fine to start anytime as long as you're on a regular training regimen.

I would say consuming calories at your BMR X 1.2 (sedentary TDEE) would be much easier, safer, healthier, productive, and manageable for the long term. You'll want to incorporate resistance training to maintain, if not build, your muscle mass. Get onto a popular routine designed by pros which can be found online. Reason being you can discuss and review your results with online peers.

thumbup.gif Caffeine for the win!!! NOTHING beats pure black coffee. I don't like the strong flavor but when I do have it, the kick is unbeatable  nod.gif Too bad it stains teeth even worse than my beloved tea sweat.gif
*
Carry a small pack of whitening mouthwash wherever you go biggrin.gif

By the way I seem to have problems with straight black coffee.. Seems to cause mild-irritation for me in the bowels.

The approx 200mg caffeine content in my BCAA supp works just nice for me. Not quite sure what to do when it finishes as BB don't carry this stock anymore. doh.gif

To those trying to lose weight, skip your cardio for these instead.

Though crude, those are truly words of wisdom. That basically summarises it all, though you could also explain more on fixing the diet.

I'd personally say it's a damn mental disease. There's just so many good training and nutrition protocols out there on the net, some even designed for the busiest of people, but somehow many still can't adhere to it.
