Whenever I read about the diet people are having to maintain a healthy amount of deficit, I see they eat heavy stuff for dinner. Is this really significant? Can I swap my meals between lunch and dinner? Because I always eat eggs and toast for breakfast, rice, chicken and vegetables for lunch and something filling for dinner like bread. And I exercise.

hi guys. I am 171cm and weigh 126kg. I've been thinking of changing my diet starting 2014. I have been lifting 10 kg dumbbells since 2 months ago and started going to the gym yesterday.

I am thinking of changing my diet too. I don't want to eat rice anymore and heres my thought of a new diet:-

-1 x boiled potatoes
- 250g of diced chicken breast meat
- boiled carrots, broccoli, and french peas
- 1 x hard boiled eggs
- banana

packed into one tupperware for each bfast, lunch and dinner. I know this is a noob diet, but thats just what im thinking of doing. I am working as an auditor and hardly could find time to do my regular exercises etc.

What do you guys think? hope can get feed back.

looks ok on the surface.
1. if weight doesn't go down, be ready to cut down on the carbs in the diet.
2. i am a bit concern on how long you can keep up with such a diet. looks rather bland/boring.....use different seasonings/ cooking methods without adding too much calories. that will keep you feeling more satisfied and have a more effective diet.
3. 3 eggs a day can be a concern considering you are already overweight and possible have a cholesterol problem. go have a blood test, if your cholesterol is already elevated, 3 eggs a day is not the thing you want.
4. too many excuses. the busy working doctor that has a elite tag in the bodybuilding forum will give you a spanking. laugh.gif. there's always time for exercise. no excuses.

...within 1 week you will binge. and binge like mad. just eat everything in moderation. do you know your bmr, tdee and all that other stuff? set macro's and eat within those macros. eat anything you want (sort of) within those macros. try not to completely avoid unless they are your ultimate kryptonite (for me its french fries or potato chips. just cant moderate so i completely avoid).

and try to get some workout's in. remember. 'time is like a cleavage, the more you squeeze, the more you get.' or something like that. good luck. flex.gif

You need to develop the habit of exercising and eating the diet food to sustain it.

Used to be auditor but I always end up in gym after works or early in the morning.

So for this to last, think of a way to develop this habit or else you will give up after 6 months max.

I've used an intermittent fasting / lean gains calculator to determine the appropriate proportion of Carbs, Protein and Fat intake for weight loss.

I understand that 1 bowl of rice contains approximately 44.08g carbs so I've got that covered. However, I'm unsure of how much 50g of Fat and 226g of Protein looks like, say, on a plate of economy rice.

I plan to eat 2 meals a day with an 8 hour eating window, 1pm-9pm, for a start.

Would love to have some feedback. Thank you in advance. smile.gif
