Can a girl eat less than 1000 Kcal per day will slim down? ask from my girl friend
*
Yes but then your metabolism is damaged and your weight loss is stagnant. Most Bikini IFBBPro (The Best Bodybuilding Competition in the World) competition's coaches make their athletes eat less than 1000kcal for competition and ending up damaging the metabolism.

What can it do to your body?

I have been trying to loose weight for years. not successful. But since I shared the Goat's milk with my 5 shitzi dog, I started to. Doctor said Goat's milk is good cause it's alkaline, rich in nutrients and calcium, smaller protein molecule. So I drink the fresh Goat Milk together with my dogs every morning. I lost weight!! Not because of the milk but because my dog is becoming hyper active and now I have trouble chasing them back to cage every night.
Heh.... don't believe ya. I am now a dog chaser. Thanks to my friend's Goat's Milk. His contact 017-2822119 he will delivery it to your house. make yourself a chaser, you'll know........ haha

By my current weight, I think I need to take around 2000-ish calories to lose weight. I don't really take my measurements. But I did noticed that some of my pants is a bit loose now after the 2nd week. The same thing that I experience last time. I just think that I need to watch what I eat as I think I am classified in the endomorph category.

I plan on calling in quits on Insanity and try lifting instead. I always work out at home. But I guess I feel like hitting the gym tomorrow. Making it a 6 day workout, 1 day rest schedule. Of course, I'll still do some plyometrics for my cardio.

I'll keep updating my progress. biggrin.gif

Hmm, what's 6 days split? Sorry. a bit blurry on terms. but it wont be 6 straight days of lifting. it will be like 4 days of lifting, 2 days of cardio. alternating i guess.
biggrin.gif
*
A 6 days split would be a routine where you'll go to the gym 6 times a week targetting different kind of body part each days. The usual example would be a 5 days split consisting of leg/shoulder/back/arm/chest split.

Previously you said that you'll be going to the gym 6 times a week so I've assumed that you are doing a 6 days split

NOTE: If anyone serious wanna lose weight, pm me for further details..
*
Very less exercise and very poor diet and it reflect on your transformation pic wink.gif

Less weight =/= good thing. What I can see is that you lose quite a few arm size and still the flabby fat belly is still there. You've turn from fat to skinny fat which is still fat nonetheless.

FYI. I always keep my body in check for muscle mass, water level, weight, bone mass every week, so not only focusing on weight.

Picture itself only shows the transformation of before and after. Body fat was 22.1% and now is 18.5%.

My method is to reduce my weight and body fat up to the limit where it cant drop anymore, then more intense workout is required to convert some weight into muscle mass.

So, from twice a week cardio, right now i on P90X program everyday for lean and tone body.. Not going for muscular type.
*
You only provided your bf% reduction. Where is your muscle mass reduction?
The bolded part: You have a very clear understanding of human body *sarcasm* but... your only workout each week is one hour cardio. How would you gain muscle mass?

p/s: if you don't have any muscle to start with, don't be judging others who have more than you (as per the pic), saying that you can be better than them. pfft

Why don't you use this picture instead. The guy you posted up was in the "bearmode" zone.

Your personal transformation pic is in the chubbyfat or skinnyfat zone.

I guess most would wanna achieve ottermode or atheletic, which are very reasonable achievements, both in terms of physique and health.

Not trying to diss you, so don't need to be defensive. Just highlighting something that you overlooked, so that it may help you.

I missed that image so badly biggrin.gif

On the other side, the fat muscular guy IMO is more like a dirty bulking phase rather than bearmode. But one thing for sure, the muscle that he packs under the fat on his body is surely impressive yet newb tends to completely disregard that point.

QUOTE(KTCY @ Jun 20 2013, 11:43 AM)
Hey guys, I lost about 1.5kg since the last I weight myself (9th of June)
Just wondering is that water lost or really weight lose ? As I work out almost 6 days a week with rarely cheating day. I was wondering is that really weight lost or just some water lost. mind to share ? Well, i'm really new in this tho. So basically this is what I took daily and my workout.

Morning.
breakfast in canteen. about 500-600kcal

Lunch
Fruits or bread.

Dinner
Fruits / Vege / hard boiled egg

Workout
60-70 mins treadmill with 6km/h incline 0
sits up (started since June 1st. Now reaching 85 sit up per day)
crunches (Started since june 1st, Now reaching 130 crunches per day)
Plank (30sec x 2)

some weight-lifting
dumbell fly 5x5set
some other unknown move for weight lifting laugh.gif Please pardon me. Really noob in this blush.gif

QUOTE(KTCY @ Jun 20 2013, 06:26 PM)
I mentioned some other unknown weight-lifting move. I didn't say i only did some. biggrin.gif
I weight lift about 40mins usually but due to limited equipment in my condo gym, so I'm working out base on what I have currently.

Breakfast is hard. I need go get to office by 645 and usually i woke up about 545. wanted to prepare my meal but sometimes just way too lazy. Will try to work out a healthy breakfast next week as canteen food usually oily sad.gif

I'm working on abs because i have big fat belly. Over 40" blush.gif
of course i'm not doing spot reduction just wish to get smaller belly.
*
Be more serious if you want to achieve your goal. Do more reading, and do learn what the purposes of doing the unknown weight-lifting move of yours.

And try to achieve 1000 crunches per day, that will helps a lot to burn fats on the front side of belly but that will leads to 6-paxs and spare tires hmm.gif

QUOTE(syncomp @ Jun 21 2013, 03:53 PM)
Congrats on your first step to lose weight. Better start slow than never right. No worries, we are here to guide you. First of all, I believe that is water loss. Fat loss won't go easy with you in just few days.

On your diet, I fully understand that reducing portion is not that easy. So what I am suggesting that you try to avoid oily food AT LEAST. And try to replace any drinks with just plain waters. With those two tips, would greatly help you losing weight for the first 10kg. And maybe another 10, or maybe another more 10, depends on your target. Fruit and bread during lunch is not a good option. For lunch you must have protein source, carbo, and veggy (fiber) and yes again please avoid oily food.

On your workout, Incline threadmill is good, keep up the good work. And if possible try slow jog without incline or a start.
Sit up is not recommended for you. Do crunches instead as others have recommended in previous post. And 1000 crunches is not impossible. Divide the 1000 rep with upper crunch, side crunch, etc (Google is your best friend, search for type of crunches) and further down to do it by after you woke up, morning, afternoon, evening, night, etc. For your weight training............................................................................................. (Google still your best friend. Use it)

Consistency is the key dude. If you not consistent you'll never achieve good.

Owh, and yes.. Please please and please don't do spot-reduction. Do the training, spot later.

Why would you recommend him doing 1000 crunches?

I am not recommending him to do 1000. He is doing sit up and someone who just started (not fit) is way of a hell of doing it. And that would demotivate him. What am I suggesting is much lighter exercise that he could do. And forummer here stated that he must do 1000. So, I explain to him that 1000 is not a myth. It could be achieved by dividing the rep through out the day. Its up to you bro how many rep you want. In getting fit, as long as you move, you are good enough rather than lay down your @$$ on your comfy couch.
*
The forumer was me. So that is why I asked you why would your recommend him doing 1000 crunches? Owh and do explain the 2nd bold part on the previous post of your. The 'do the training, spot later'.

My bad, I don't see your name there. Sorry. The 2nd phrase meaning that, in weight losing you can't decide which part of your body would reduce first. Some people are using such product as sauna belt in hoping their waist would be smaller, deep heat cream to rub certain part of the body in hoping their thigh, arm, or belly to spot any reduce. Certain exercise such as sit up in hoping your six pax to reveal in just few times you do it. All and all of that wouldn't happen as the reduction would be decided by your body. By then, just do the training to reduce your body fat mass and you will see how well you are progressing.
*
Ah that makes a lot of sense compared to your previous post. Would totally agreed on you about this. There is no sport reduction and it is a myth. I was posting in sarcasm sense about the 1000 crunches to lose the fat belly as a reply to someone else, but they thought I am telling the truth laugh.gif

I am not sure, he eats the same meal as everyone in the family, rices and all, all my other (adult) family members are ok, I am a little bit different where I eat a lot of fast foods, barely any rice.. But I am only 52kg at 163cm..

Probably he lacks exercise because he spend most of his time playing computer games...
*
He is a 10 years old boy and he's eating the same food as you? Do you actually control the amount of food he was eating or you let him go on a food rampage? Btw just asking, are you his/her parent?

I am his older brother, so far, my parents had restrict him from eating Nasi Lemak, that probably helped a bit, but now the main thing is we want him to lose some weight.. Scared that there will be some health risk when he becomes a teenager later on
*
Well, I guess this advices could work.

1. Reduce the food consumption. Remember, we eat to live, not live to eat.
2. Reduce his indoor playing time (computer games) and substitute it with outdoor (cycling, jogging).
3. Have a healthy lifestyle for your family. Raising kids in 'fast food no exercises' kind of life will make that 10 year old boy's life worse when he's getting older.

People will call a fat kid at 2-6ish years old cute because he is cute but when he's getting older, people would call him names that you don't want to know. Let just say that his future is going downhill when he is fat.
