any suggestion for the food choice and training?
*
Some time tested rule of thumb:

Eat about 15% less than your daily tdee.
1g of protein per lbs of body weight
The rest come from quality, nutritionally dense carbs and fats.
Ensure lots of vegetables and mixed variety of food to get a good nutritional balance
Go into the gym 3 times a week to do squats, chest press, overhead press, calf raises, pull downs - takes you an hour or less each session.

That's all. That simple. Losing fats ain't rocket science.

errr actually i post this in both section, the weight loss and body bulding section cos i dunno where should i ask abt this
I already slim down significantly, what i wanting to achieve at the moment is to tone and also burn some fat (i assume toning and muscle building is 2 different thing, sry if i'm wrong)
My daily diet is base on dailt dietary intake, consist of fresh fruit and vege (mostly brocolli, apples, and other varieties), eggs, fish and milk, but i pretty sure eggs, fish and milk alone aren't providing the essential protein, hence the reason why i trying protein supplement)
As i stated, i hit the gym 6 days a week, doing around 45-1hr sessions.

So what's your question?

Anyway, one scoop before and after workout is fine.

In the future, save your cash for something else.

but u suggesting saving the money for something else so i wonder what's the alternative since u didn't state any
*
Did you ask?

Anyway money channeled should always be into quality food first.

Commonly used time tested supplements include fish oil, and whey protein. The ones sold by forumer 4Rings should be good enough.

Another one would be creatine but since you mentioned optimizing muscle gains is not your priority then don't need to spend on it.

Got it, would like to try other supplement after i finish up the current one and compare, thanks for the tips

If you have the extra cash, buy these instead of some funny supplements.

Organic, grass fed-chicken.

Organic, pasture-fed eggs.

Organic, button mushrooms.

These are better than most fad supplements.

If you'd like to go down the route of supplements, a time tested one is:

Fish oil, (good brands are Nutrigold Triple Strength Omega-3 Gold, Innovix Triple Strength Omega-3, and Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega)

noted, will look into them, i myself actually dislike chemical supplement as we will never know what we been fed in those,
probably will switch to natural resources again after taking supplement for a couple of months
if those that u suggest are good alternative i would rather go for them, thanks

Note that I have edited the brand recommendations for fish oil.

just found this website and watching the HIIT for beginner video.
with my current 110kg weight, some more with my current desk job,
how long should i do the beginner before switching to intense one?

At 110 kg I don't think you should even be brisk walking or jogging leisurely, let alone HIIT!

Focus on diet first and bring down total weight. The other forumers may have input on suitable exercise routines.

Need some help here
Previously I'm 84 kg and it took me 6 months to reach 64kg. However, now I've reached the level where my weights are just maintaining.

I gym 4 times a week.
I do squats, lunges, deadlift, burpees, jogging, cycling, and did core exercises
Sometimes I attend body combat classes.

Any exercise to recommend? I've got a big problem with my lower body. The ass, thighs area is real big =(
*
Can give this a try, about twice a week, with ample rest days between each time.

http://www.fitocracy.com/knowledge/dr-layn...-in-15-minutes/

What's your height? If you're tall, 64 kg could be a good weight.

Big ass and thighs (muscular plus sufficient fats, not flabby) could be highly sexy.

Don't look at losing weight, emphasis on losing fats.

I haven't been doing cardio but futsal once a week, I wear braces for my knees to prevent injuries. I do weights 30mins X 2 days a week.

OKLAH at least managed to reduce 3Kgs.. hope to go below 100Kgs asap!
*
Hmm, 100kg with futsal? Not too sure if it's a good idea...

Also there's some indication that knee braces could do more damage than good.

Personally at this weight, what I'd do is to continue with weights (to strengthen and build muscles) and also some high intensity cardio on the stationary bike (minimal impact on knees).

Could give this a try once or twice a week: http://www.fitocracy.com/knowledge/dr-layn...-in-15-minutes/

Thanks for the link. I'll look into it and try it out

I am only 160cm. Therefore, I'm actually still overweight  cry.gif
Some people commented that I don't need to lose the ass and thighs as it is not flabby but honestly I don't like it at all cause of the size of it.

My major problem is losing the fats. I went weighing myself in the total body measurement machine (I've got no idea what is the machine call) in the gym. The thing I need to lose is 8kg of fats  cry.gif . In terms of muscles etc, I've got no problem. BTW, I don't know how accurate is the measurements given by the machines.
Thanks! I'll try to change my workout to do it in the morning instead of doing it after work
Just hope I can stop eating rubbish =X
*
The machines are just for a rough guide and introduction for you to understand your body better. Also for you to track progress from time to time.

Once you understand more about losing fats, and how precious your muscles are and not set them to waste, using the mirror itself would be sufficient most of the time. You can differentiate between two people of the same size, but one looks toned and muscular the other one is weak and chubby.

Hi, I suggest you read from page one of this thread. You'll be able to learn alot of things, and be able to differentiate between myths and real things. Your question, and many more that you are going to ask, have been answered many times in this same thread. Good luck! :-)

wah lao. i've tried this and at max resistance how to cycle? even i'm standing and pumping its hard. but will keep trying. maybe not do max. but like 80%.
*
Can adjust the max resistance to a more realistic one, closer to your own max resistance or abit more than that. In numbers, for example the bike can go up till 25, but realistically the max for you should be 18 - 20.
