This will be in my list.
Been waiting for a game like this in english. Can't Play without knowing the story even the game play is nice. Until now Japan dub is still the best. Cantonese is the second best.. English and Malay dub is so... weird.. |

I hope the game comes out on time. I've enjoyed the demo a lot and roughly understand their combat mechanics.

Based on the demo, you need to understand how to chain all the attacks along with the support Cross attacks available. Successful chains earns you an extra attack turn.
Your allies can also be used as support if they are closeby. but be warned, the battles can be very repetitive. But if you don't mind listening to the tracks and also watching the animations repeatedly (I love the Volcanic Rim SF4 remix and Ryu's classic stage along with Soma's haunting mellow track), then you'll definitely have some good time. The story however, remains to be seen. Considering that... well... Ryu and Ken are projections transferred from a video game (ehem). That and Kite & Blackrose dishing a quirky line on RPG grinding. |

Yup, I've learnt some stuff about the demo. I hope that combat doesn't get to repetitive (or maybe I'll be too busy finding the best way to deal out the most damage during combos that I don't even find it repetitive )
Timing is not only important in combos, but when you have a few support units nearby, it's also important to select the best support for maximum damage. Also skills are important too (like Ryu & Ken's skill from the demo which maintains the enemy's juggle height). I don't think I'll mind the story that much. And I'm liking all the music I hear (especially Volcanic Rim, Ryu's theme and that them that plays with Kite and Black Rose). |

Same thinking. I don't care about the repetition. I actually love seeing it. I won't aim for max damage though, because i'd rather see harmony and symphony of the attacks. Along with variety. I do hope there's some other moves and that won't be the last. But who knows eh? We haven't seen much yet.
Too bad some of the tracks are not in the LE OST. The japanese one had a full 44 tracks. This one (US), has around 14 something? And only 1 from Sega. Ouch. |
