any idea when is the new intel processor notebook coming (the ivy bridge) and the price range ?

Every brand/laptop has its pros and cons..
For Alienware, each unit is a lot more expensive for the specifications you get if compared to, say, an Asus or Sager But then for that price you get generally better built and warranty support (bling-bling is just an extra since not many fancies them)

Again it depends on your usage

The G770, which is running on an dual-core i7 processor managed to hit 2 hours and 50 minutes with Wifi on and medium brightness settings..
Since our version of the G770 is running on a lower-clocked i5 processor, you can expect slightly longer battery life... maybe 3 hours + or so

What else would you want to know?
Actually it all depends on the user..
For me, since I'm quite a noob in hardwares and stuffs, warranty is more important to me than everything else...
However its a different case if you are like most of the sifus here - you know your way around laptops/ desktops etc.
Most of them could easily fix minor laptop problems themselves, so warranty is not much of a problem, which is why most of them would prefer especially Sager laptops that offer the most bang for buck~

Ivy Bridge~ The main attraction is not the new CPU, but rather the new Nvidia/ AMD GPUs that's paired with them; unless if you're looking for an ultrabook

That's because Ivy Bridge are processors
There is not much performance gain (so far) compared to the Sandy Bridge processors although it doesn consumes less power... its the Intel HD4000 GPU inside that shines actually- about 30% improvement over the current Intel HD3000... Which is a good deal if you're buying ultrabooks/ subnotebooks and you still feel like gaming abit

IB is however not that significant if you're looking for a gaming laptop since you won't be using the iGPU anyway
And CPU doesn't really affect gaming performance much, its all down to the GPU; and the new Nvidia/ AMD GPUs are what's really worth waiting for for you

I just found another model almost similar spec and with the same price... OMG? Looks like the 2GB graphic more value.
