How's your search? biggrin.gif

Finalizing now, guess got not much choice ady.

Q1. Which one better ar?
- Asus N55SL-S2065V @Rm3550, 4GB Ram, 2GB GT 635, BluRay
- HP Pavilion dv6-6c19TX @Rm3050, 4GB Ram, 1GB ATI 7690 GPU

Q2. The GPU 1GB and 2GB differs a lot, i mean gaming wise?

Q3. i7 soon to have this ivy bridge also?
*
Gaming wise, go for the Asus. Haha. My search didn't come up well enough due to time constraint. But do you have to look something that's non-gaming looking? Haha. They don't care right?

For question 3, I am not sure. tongue.gif tongue.gif Sorry~

Hello guys. Anyone wanna enlighten me about why Alienware is not good? I am on the neutral side. Not siding fans or haters. Just curious because an Alienware dealer told me not to get one. So, I'm assuming he could be serious? Haha.

Every brand/laptop has its pros and cons..
For Alienware, each unit is a lot more expensive for the specifications you get if compared to, say, an Asus or Sager nod.gif But then for that price you get generally better built and warranty support (bling-bling is just an extra since not many fancies them) nod.gif
*
Haha. Thank you for saying! biggrin.gif Anything else that I should know of?

Again it depends on your usage nod.gif
According to NBC's review here: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Lenovo...ok.64656.0.html
The G770, which is running on an dual-core i7 processor managed to hit 2 hours and 50 minutes with Wifi on and medium brightness settings..
Since our version of the G770 is running on a lower-clocked i5 processor, you can expect slightly longer battery life... maybe 3 hours + or so nod.gif

What else would you want to know? laugh.gif
Actually it all depends on the user..
For me, since I'm quite a noob in hardwares and stuffs, warranty is more important to me than everything else...
However its a different case if you are like most of the sifus here - you know your way around laptops/ desktops etc.
Most of them could easily fix minor laptop problems themselves, so warranty is not much of a problem, which is why most of them would prefer especially Sager laptops that offer the most bang for buck~
*
Yeap. Same here. Imma noob. But still I can fix small2 stuffs. tongue.gif Still surveying for a laptop~ sad.gif Dunno which to buy~

Ivy Bridge~ The main attraction is not the new CPU, but rather the new Nvidia/ AMD GPUs that's paired with them; unless if you're looking for an ultrabook laugh.gif
*
Oh really? I didn't know because people seem to be talking about the CPU. Or rather assuming bad stuff about it. So what about the GPU's that's paired with the IB? Nah, not looking for an ultrabook. Since IB's what's people are talking about, I can wait till it releases. tongue.gif

More info here:
CPU - http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Intel-...rs.73624.0.html
iGPU - http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Grap...ed.73567.0.html

That's because Ivy Bridge are processors laugh.gif
There is not much performance gain (so far) compared to the Sandy Bridge processors although it doesn consumes less power... its the Intel HD4000 GPU inside that shines actually- about 30% improvement over the current Intel HD3000... Which is a good deal if you're buying ultrabooks/ subnotebooks and you still feel like gaming abit nod.gif

IB is however not that significant if you're looking for a gaming laptop since you won't be using the iGPU anyway laugh.gif
And CPU doesn't really affect gaming performance much, its all down to the GPU; and the new Nvidia/ AMD GPUs are what's really worth waiting for for you  hmm.gif

Just my 2 cents~
*
Haha. Thank you so much for the link. Still reading it. smile.gif So, I am looking for a gaming notebook. Pretty much like you said, performance from CPU doesn't come in much right? But still in this case, I can get a gaming notebook with IB since it boosts GPU that much, right?
