Hey guys,
I'm looking to buy a new laptop. I travel quite abit for work but I still want to be able to play some games in my free time. I'm looking to get the laptop in 2-3 weeks time.

1. Preferred Brand : Any (Ivy Bridge)
2. Budget : RM 4-6k
3. Usage: Gaming (dota2, diablo3, wow), engineering programs (hysys, autocad)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : 14-15.6"

These are the laptops that I have been considering:

Asus G55VW 15.6" GT660M
Asus N56VZ 15.6" GT650M
Alienware M14x 14" GT650M
Inspiron 14/15r HD7730M
Ideapad y480 GT660M
Ideapad y580 GT660M
Samsung 550p 15" GT650M
HPdv6 quad 15.6" GT650M
Msi ge60 15.6" GT650M
Msi gt60 15.6" GT670M

As there are too many choices I was hoping someone could help me narrow them down. Thanks!

I believe the Samsung and ideapads are not out yet but the rest should be?
I think I am reducing my choices to probably the asus G55 or MSI laptops

the MSI GT60 has stronger GPU,, also it has two HDD bays, while g55VW onli has 1 normal HDD + 1 mSATA.. n many complains on ASUS after sales service

Preferred Brand : any brand as long as nvr over budget, lol (but heard that acer not good, but my fren use got no prob, i dunno oso)

3. Usage : 3D rendering, autocad, working purpose

I'm actually not based in Malaysia. I'm in Australia so can get some of those models if order online. But laptop prices there are more expensive. I will be going to Malaysia for work next week so I was thinking I can just buy one while I'm there. Any bad reviews on the asus g55 or msi ge/gt60?

In this case the msi ge60 would not be worth it. Definitely the asus g55 better value. But the msi gt60 with the gtx670m is so tempting!
