The 7670M is around the GT540M level, so its still slightly better than the GT525M when stock nod.gif
In terms of CPU, the Toshiba L755 is better than the HP G4 you've mentioned.. whereas in terms of sound, HP is better; Toshiba has a better screen nod.gif
Toshiba comes with 3 years local warranty

1. Preferred Brand : any
2. Budget : <RM2500
3. Usage : work and gaming
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : 14/15

Asus A53SM-SX019V 15.6" A53 Series Notebook

i5-2450M-2.5GHz | 4GB DDR3 RAM, 750GB HDD |GT 630

vs

Lenovo Y570 i7-2670 QM, GT 555M ,8GB DDR3 ,500GB hardisk. Both also can get below rm2500. But i was thinking that since gaming better get i5 since i7 gets hot faster.but the i5's gt 630 isn't as good as i7's gt 555M. so which one is best for gaming? hmm.gif or is there any other better laptop? thank you sifu notworthy.gif

Yeah, gaming relies more on GPU rather than the CPU nod.gif
If you're strictly comparing these two models, then you should opt for the Y570, you can turn off Turboboost, that'll lower your temps by around 10C...
The build of the Y series should be better, and you get better speakers as well brows.gif

I just saw this and i thought i'd share... http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/14/intel-i...-thermal-paste/

it seems like intel is using cheap thermal paste on the new ivy processors which is why they're getting really hot, maybe now that people know intel may be forced to use the better thermal paste.. so to guys looking to buy ivy bridge based laptops (myself included) i say we should all wait until this is sorted out..

^ Ivy Bridge mobile processor don't use Integrated Heat Speader (IHS) so it's not affected.

Hi sifu PF T.J. Laptops with anti-spill keyboard don't come cheaply right?

Does Toshiba's warranty include protection towards accidental damage like spill or crack?

BTW, why everyone favour Lenovo now? My friend had 2 lenovo laptops and both had problems. Ended up having a toshiba laptop. I might as well choose acer over lenovo.

Another of my friend bought asus during pc fair in kuching(The one with GT 610M) I think its Asus A43Sd. Had speaker problem now sent back to the shop he bought from. My friend had problem playing NFS the run, they said he needs a software to link Nvidia and Intel in order to play the game without problem.

TQ.

Not really, there are a number of Fujitsu/ Lenovo laptops that come along with spill-resistant keyboards nod.gif
Gaming laptops with those kind of keyboards are more expensive though...

Nope, normal warranty doesn't cover accidental damages...

Its just among your friends who's favoring Lenovo? laugh.gif
Getting a lasting laptop will depending on a little bit of luck, but mostly it depends on how you take care of the laptop
