1. Brand: DELL, ASUS
2. Budget: Below RM3500 PREFERABLE
3. Usage: Some gaming, mainly for 3D rendering
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 15 inch onward
5. Prefer ASUS due to 2 years warranty but after review on Asus bad service after sale then no confident to it already. DELL after sale service. Awesome! So hopefully all the sifu can guide me out here coz quite headache for no laptop now...BTW beside the brand that I choose, also can recommend me on some other brand if u think it's good in my budget.
*
You can try these:

Dell
Inspiron 15R (Special Edition), i7-3612QM + AMD HD7730M + (1920x1080; anti-glare) + 32GB SSD + 1TB HDD(5400rpm)@RM3199, 8GB,backlit keyboard optional

Asus
N55Sl-S2064v, i5-2450M + Nvidia GT635M + (1600x900)@RM2899[Bang & Olufsen], 4GB, 750GB(5400rpm)
N56ZM-S4079V, i7-3610QM + Nvidia GT650M + (1920 x 1080) + BluRay@RM3599[Bang&Olufsen], 4GB, 1TB

For the N56ZM, there are some rumours about it not having FHD screen so you might want to check it out first.

I think i might push up my budget to Asus G55 since the N56zm already there.but still a bit hard coz the price is higher...however i will consider on both model in 1st priority. So how u guys think? G55 worth it? I still very new to Asus ROG so not sure about it.
*
If you can afford the G55VW then by all means go for it.
For its price, you get a great cooling system, GPU and FHD screen biggrin.gif

Only downside would be the weight of it. It is heavier than some 17" desktop replacements.

I've heard from many of my friends that Dell has over heating problem, and that the fan does not function well I think.. Do you have any other recommendation?
*
You can try this:

Acer
[Ultrabook] M5-481TG-53316G12, i5-3317U + Nvidia GT640M LE (28nm Kepler) + 128GB SSD@RM2899, 6GB, W7HP

I'm not sure whether it has international warranty, you might want to check them out.
Unless you want 15" laptops then it will not be so light sweat.gif

Yes the Asus is worth it. You can look around until July before you decide. There should be some laptops to be introduced.

Which one better? yawn.gif N56Vz-S3088V with i5-3210M or N56Vz-S3088V with i7-3610QM processor?  rclxub.gif

The Asus N56VZ is running on i5.
The one running on i7 is N56ZM.

But in your case, go with the N56VZ with i5.

Perhaps you can narrow down the field by stating your preferable screen size and brand? There are many laptops/ultrabooks that are in your budget.

QUOTE(Zeiyan @ Jul 1 2012, 03:04 AM)
sad.gif ... Please help me ... This is urgent ... Tomorrow I am going to buy a laptop ... And I am bad at making decision ...

Preferred Brand : Any brand ...
Budget : Below RM3500 ...
Usage : Gaming, Movie, Video Editing (Mainly Use Adobe After Effects), And For IPTA student (ICT Course) ...
Preferred laptop/screen size : Any screen size but prefer 14" ...
Prefer nvidia graphic ...

Does any laptop below RM3500 has blu ray ???
If it does, I prefer it because I will mainly watch tv shows using blu ray (pirate blu ray only costs RM25, Woot2  rclxms.gif  ) ...
I am thinking to buy ASUS or Alienware, but my father and a lot of people said ASUS is kinda easy to break, and their service is bad and Alienware cost a lot of money ...
I am kinda love perfection ...
When I play a game, I love to make the video settings as high as possible ...
I am seriously love edit video ...
A lot of my videos take a lot of time to render it ...
And I need a laptop that I can carry around (lightweight) because I will always bring my laptop to everywhere even in class ...

Hope you all can help me as fast as possible ...
Thank you ...  notworthy.gif

Only some 15" laptops and above have BluRay.
There are not much choices for 14" in your case but you can try this:

Dell
Inspiron 14R (Special Edition), i7-3612QM + Nvidia GT640M(28nm Kepler)@RM2799[2.38kg], 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm); backlit keyboard optional

For lightweight, you'll compromise a little on the GPU:

Dell
[Ultrabook]Inspiron 14z, i7-3517U + AMD HD7570M + 32GB SSD + 500GB(5400rpm)@RM2899[1.87kg], 8GB, 500GB(5400rpm) *no VGA port

2. Budget: Around 5k
3. Usage: Gaming, Casual Use. (therefore I would like less bulky?..)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: Any.

Hi guys, I'm interested in buying a laptop as mine broke last month. sad.gif But I'm not in a rush, plan to save up till early next year or so (since my workstation has its own pc!) before I go back to uni.

I heard lately that windows 8 is coming out, and they have this cool touchscreen function or something. If that's so, should I wait for new versions of laptops that are compatible with w8? And what are the laptops I should be looking at?

Thanks so much smile.gif

If you're not in a hurry, then wait for new laptops to come.
Since you're waiting till next year, there are definitely going to be better new laptops releasing. Hopefully with W8 as well biggrin.gif
