Is there any benefit to depositing earlier than December ah? Dunno how they calculate interest.

They calculate interest on a daily basis. The rate is about 3.8-4.1%.

That's not true as I have deposits since 2015 that get exactly 4% per annum. Even though deposited mid December it only gets the full 4% in the following January (hence no interest for those 2 week's end December). No way it's getting daily interest.

I remember saw it in the net some years back,…I think it is something like this…..

If the dividend announced for year 2017 is 4%

1) Your last year’s deposit date, prorated by the number of months multiply by this 4%
2) Multiply balance in your a/c as at 1 January 2017 by 4%

Add 1 & 2, you will get the dividend sum for that year.

Caveat emptor…. sad.gif

spouse +same kid1 = another account

And U + kid 2 = another account. But same penyata because the penyata is for you not for the kid.

I opened a SSPN account when I was studying and took PTPTN.

Now that I'm working, should I pump in some money for tax relief?

But seems like there's a lot of restrictions in withdrawing kan

You can't get tax relief for your own SSPN account. Need to open for your child and deposit into theirs.

was doing the same thing after finish my studies, a year later realized no tax relief for self account.
closed account, transfer all money to my maybank acc and dump all in SSPN-i plus

only get the dividen no tax relief
