Hi,

I'm 30 this year.. my face skin type used to be oily.

I never use any cosmetic brand of cleansing product. Just normal Biore men facial wash or similar from store(watson/guardian/jusco/etc)

Recently, since last year, my face getting dull and dry(but nose still oily, like sebum factory), especially forehead and the cheek area which near to the nose.

Nowdays, i can feel pain when washing my face, the cheek area is dry and can notice skin flake tearing off after wash.. and this morning i can see blood wound.

To prevent pain and excessive dry skin, i just rinse my face with water at night, and only use facial wash at morning.

pls advise, and pls recommend me solution or products.

invest in a good facial cleanser and moisturiser.
facial cleanser - you face should not fee like squeaky clean and have tight feeling but feels fresh and still moisturised. if your face feel tight after cleansing, then cleanser is too harsh and dry for your face.

moisturiser- although you have oily skin it doesn't mean you do not need to moisturise your face. go for something light like lotion. if you sleep in aircond room, can go for something creamy at night. also have a small bowl of water in the room if sleep in aircond room.

invest in those sheet mask thingy (look for hydration), and do like home facial 2-3 times a week. just clean your face and put on the mask for 10-15 mins and then take off mask, pat the remaining essence on your face till dry then go to sleep. as easy as that. make sure you do all this with clean hands of course.

also drink more water.

good luck.

No matter oily/dry skin condition, hydrating is still a must. But pls look out for those hydrating items that come with lighter texture, to prevent it from clogging ur pores.

ur skin is sensitive and needs moisturizing, i suggest u head to facial for a round of extraction. oily skin might due to clogged pores, your skin surface is dry thats why keeps producing oil. which makes your oil glands super active now. but i think u better moisturize let your skin stop bleeding and all that 1st. oily t zone can be solve with 1 good facial and correct products. smile.gif good luck. meanwhile use aloe vera gel to calm your skin 1st.

I'm using Simple Cleanser (any type will do). after washing you won't have that squeaky clean feeling. My skin doesn't feel tight or itchy after. Plus it's cheap too.

Probably you need some light moisturising as well?

Hello I know something that would treat that. Use Aloe Propolis Creme: 100% stabilized Aloe Vera with the added benefit of Bee Propolis, a natural antibiotic product of the bee hive. Propolis is collected by bees and is used to keep their hive sterile and free of any infections. An excellent moisturizer for everyday, or to soothe scrapes, burns and rashes--this lotion is outstanding. Also Forever Royal Jelly: This 100% natural Royal Jelly is produced by bees and fed exclusively to the queen Bee. this formula is well known for enhancing metabolism, increasing energy, combating stress, reducing the effects of aging, and eliminating fatigue. And because it comes from FLP, you know it's the best.

These products has been proven to be safe and effective.. not only to other but most especially to myself.

I generally use Vaseline for my dry skin. The lotion is really good and gets absorbed into my dry skin making it soft and oily.

ya, the moisturizer is important to lock the moist level of your skin. take the mild 1 is enough for combination skin.

When my face is dry, i use moisturizer more frequently. However, if your skin is not like this before and it persists now, I doubt whether it's possible related to body health or functioning, in chinese medicine it says everything or organ or system in our body relates to each other. For short term solution, perhaps you want to consider Dr.Ranjit at SS15? (http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1781992) I used to see him when my leg has skin issue, not my face though. Wish you get well soon!

To get rid of dry skin, you should drink 10-12 glass of water in a day. It shall be helpful to your skin.
