hi guys..i don't seem to quite understand..i've been reading thru these threads on supplements lately...and i get kinda confused on 1 thing..
when we work out..our muscle tears..darklight mentions we need immediate protein after workouts especially fast absorbing ones..so i presume these whey shakes should be taken post work out.
if you take them pre work out, technically speaking how does whey boost your lifting performance? from what i understand we should have big meals with sufficient calories and carbs for pre workout. please correct me if i'm missing something here...

QUOTE(RedShirt @ Aug 23 2012, 10:01 AM) What you said makes sense. I am rather an impatient person when I am about to start my exercises. Come to think of it, there is a stretching bench in my gym and I tend to use it to stretch before starting. When in the gym, I can run for 7-8km or bench press about 50-55kg without any knee or elbow joint pains. However, when I run outdoors, I would just do some basic school PE warmups and just go or when I am at home and I try to do some pushup using bars, my joints will hurt I suppose besides supplements, I should start a good practise of proper warmup routine. I am taking fish oils regularly, but maybe not up to 3g worth though. Thanks for your advice. dunno about your elbows... but for your knees i think it hurts when u run outside because of the force you use to push yourself forward..when you're in the gym on the treadmill...u don't need that force as much if not at all..the conveyer pulls your leg back for you.. try lowering your body by bending ur knees a little bit more when u run on the road...that will prolly help involve more hamstring work .. just my 2 cents....

you can't really say BCAA's are useless just because they don't work for you.
@rakyat - you don't NEED to have BCAAs supplements but personally, i suggest that you try. You might react to it so well that you see impressive gains which you might have missed out on if you didn't try. that said, not only on BCAAs. read up on other supps, see how it can help you and try them. i say try all and stick to those few that helps.
Personally BCAAs boost my training intensity and DOMs become bearable. and for that, i take it.

QUOTE(Arrio @ Mar 7 2014, 03:16 PM) Aiyoto bro, I am sure you are making a joke, right? I respect your out of box's idea. Dahsyat la! I know it's Friday My learned bro didn't say such a thing. However, if there's such a powder..Fulamak.. POWER!!! I want some for 3rd LegĀ ... LOL.. no additional quality mass needed for mah 3rd leg..if you get my drift.. jokes aside, it's delusional to think anything gives you 100% quality mass...unless the word quality in his books isn't 100% muscle... i'm very tempted to try though..just to see what he's on about..
