Hi all Lowyat members,

I have a problem about my eye sight. I do wear spectacles. When i wear spectacles for about 3 hours, my eyes will feel stressed and painful, for the three hours just a normal activity, at my work place looking in front of the computer that's all, I'm in a clean environment area. Furthermore, I have checked with eye specialist, they said my spectacles has no problem on gaining power. Just matter in fact, he said i'm lack of several nutrients such as Vitamin A, he recommend me take supplement bilberry or black berry etc. Is here any LYN members selling bilberry? Please advise.

Besides that, i have a question, is it possible if my eyes feel stressed and painful, i can't able to sleep well? Or my body lack of melatonin? I sometimes suffers from insomnia too. Please refer to my post entitled "insomnia".

I take eyebright, bilberry, lutein, zeaxanthin, caratenoids, omega 3 and flaxseed oil for eyecare. The last 2 helps my eyes from drying out. All these you can get from the pharmacy as combination or stand alone supplements.

Ya i did ate alot of veges.

FYI: my right eye power = 650
My left eyes power = 150

There are so much difference, when i dun wear specs, my brain will use my left eye to focus so my right eye become lazy eyes,
then when wear specs both eyes focus. then most of the time i wear specs for few hours make my eyes sore and painful.

You should consume some foods which are beneficial for your eye health such as avocado, leafy greens, broccoli, carrot, blueberries, sweet potatoes, peppers, strawberries, walnuts.

A thorough eye examination helps you monitor your eye health, maintain optimal vision and keep up to date with new technology.
If you are suffering from eye irritation or allergy, never try to self-medicate. Eyes are a super sensitive body part and should never be taken lightly or experimented with. Even if it’s just dry eye that’s bothering you, ask your doctor to prescribe the best eye drops in the market.
