FYI

QUOTE
It can reach a peak altitude of 150 m (500 ft) in top-attack mode and 60 m in direct-fire mode and is equipped with an imaging infrared seeker.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FGM-148_Javelin so direct fire is not impossible for a Javelin.

oh yeah now that i remember the top of a tank has the weakest armour
so is logic to use top attack

but since they going for a car a direct attack is enough
and i'm quiet thankful they did not use RPG-7( the most popular rocket laucher used by bad guys in fiction work)
like hell they can hit them with all those car movement and RPG-7 are not very accurate

Seriously using Javelin on an unarmored vehicle is an overkill, a mounted heavy machine gun turret will do the job nicely~

both clearly did not do the job and thus it is by no means "overkill"

it should be clear that their capabilities are known and are in ways underestimated by using a mere javelin, should have probably deployed full blockades with tanks or w/e

they cant use tanks
cuz her client is the military itself ( more like the air force division)
and the guys who chase them are from some internal minister who oppose having the upgrade fitted on their MIG-29 Fulcrum
so they can onli manage a platoon or so

mounted machine gun (50cal or better, [are there? lol]) should be able to pierce typical passenger armored cars i'd assume. at the minimal they can definitely penetrate the windows/windscreens with enough force from the sheer bullet size alone and eventually kill the passengers within.

that said, there weren't any mounted heavy machine guns deployed, and even if they did, i doubt it'd make a difference. soulja boi could just snipe the guy behind the mount anyways the way his accuracy is at.

the police already know the situation
just that "internal" minister request that the police stay out of this

Heavy machine gun ==> small arms?

Mounted turret with Heavy Machine gun are designed to blast lightly armored vehicle even humvee also will become bee hives... Unless the car is shown got some heavy armor kits attached.

we have no way for sure to know the exact capabilities of their military strength. air force division could be limited to just that and that minister dude may have access to ground forces.

either way they failed and that's that.

hence why i question the lack of a bigger sized armored blockade of the sort. (think police chase blockades, but for military scale/standards)

at the end of the day i will just refer back to my post earlier:

i'm just joking that u mention that car is unarmoured
but the facts is that volvo is bullet proof( i would like to say bullet resistance )
and yes it still cannot withstand a high velocity .50 cal round which i don noe why those unit choose the javelin over the gun
