Actually, this isn't a very hard model to find. Try Toy Quest or graffiti toys. Remember seeing it at the store last year when I was searching for 360.

Anyway, does anyone know where I could get this model.
1/18 FORD SHELBY COBRA GT 500 CONCEPT (WHITE W/BLUE STRIPE)

1/18 LAMBORGHINI DIABLO SV (YELLOW)

If anyone has this model. I'm willing to trade in with u with this models that I have.

*
Here's part of my collection. Sorry for the poor quality pic. I'm currently saving some money to replace my old camera. I might sell it if the price is reasonable but I'm more into trading. tongue.gif This models r in tip-top condition, never been displayed (due to lack of space).

I know there isn't much hope in getting the lambo diablo SV version but I really hope to get the ford shelby white with blue stripes.

PS: I do have more autoart models, if u happen to have a shelby and decide to trade with other model, pls pm me the model u want, I might just have it.

nice man......... i think all ur wanted car can be found in SG smile.gif i saw them b4
*
Really? Thx for the tip. May I know which shop is it. Do u have their contact number. Might be going down to Sing by the end of April.

QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Mar 30 2007, 08:19 PM)
That Skyline looks nice.Sadly,i dont have the cars you want.I dont think you want Maisto, rite?
*
Autoart is the reason y I quit collecting Maisto. Nonetheless, Miasto is a rather good choice for those who r under a tight budget and want something that is big and cheap tongue.gif

QUOTE(Jasonist @ Mar 30 2007, 11:11 PM)
guys... any new discovery these days? new cars? eye catching ones? any models?
*
Heard that AA might produce a 1/18 mclaren SLR. Not too sure though.

it's from hotworks, i know u guys collect 1/18 scale but tis AE86 is 1/24... bought it at RM150.. u might get it at RM140 in Time Machine BTS

Jasonist: how i wish to have tat evo 9 ralliart sell in KL... how much u bought?.. my budget is around RM350... hard to choose for my first AA collection.

i also have a Bburago Ferrari F50..tat was 8 years ago.  smile.gif .. will take some nice pics soon.
*
RM350 for a normal edition rally car?!?! Not worth it man. Base on my experience, most of AA rally cars doesn't hold its value compare to other models. By 2-3 years time, its value would be RM200-RM250 max. That being said, I might be wrong though, since not much store in Malaysia carries AA, the value will still maintain in Malaysia.

AssKicker: SLR??? izit? i tot the license is given to maisto... shocking.gif if this is real, sure will be amazing! i wan a black/sliver one! laugh.gif
I don't think the license is exclusive to a particular company, look at CRC, they manage to get the license for 1/18 SLR as well.
Another good example, porsche carrera gt, minichamp, hot wheels and AA have the license for it as well. That being said, my friend tend to give me wrong info. tongue.gif . Will smack him if it doesn't come out by this year.

QUOTE(Ka Ken @ Apr 7 2007, 05:44 PM)
My advice: If you are a hardcore collector, forget about Maisto, their quality is so-so only  yawn.gif  Hotwheels is still ok..but still cant compare to AA.HW's elite version is getting closer to AA quality  thumbup.gif
*
IMHO, in terms of quality, both maisto and HW is the same, if anything, maisto have the edge (my opinion is base on the 360 I have).

when did the elite version reach the 200 mark? It cost only 150++ few years back.

QUOTE(Jackygwh @ Apr 8 2007, 12:25 PM)
y AA dun hav Ferrari license hoh ? its too bad sad.gif how come hotwheels got it and the price is RM 299 ( almost AA price ) but the quality stil not as nice as AA ?? mayb ferrari license expensive ?
*
The reason is simple. Target audience and accuracy. Ferrari doesn't like their cars to be copy exactly like the original version. HW manage to do that. Somehow, I feel that at times they purposely create some flaws in their design.

AssKicker have u see the tamiya 1/12 scale enzo ?? unsure.gif ... tats perfect and 99% accuracy i can say

jasonis.... thanks for the pic biggrin.gif btw when the race got replay ah ? i wan watch
*
Never seen one b4, is it really that good? How much is it? thank god i'm not a fan of a F60.

QUOTE(Ka Ken @ Apr 11 2007, 10:36 AM)
Asskicker: Overall i do agree with you but somehow after doing some comparison,I still think that the plastic quality for HW is better than Maisto.Like say in terms of the light ( front and rear) I still think the finishing is better but this also depends on the model as i was comparing the F430..  cool2.gif
I...... concur. But somehow, HW doesn't flood my boat. Maybe its the overall build, isn't as solid made as miasto.
As I could see, it isn't that reasonable priced afterall. Price point, its around the aa territory and its no where near aa in terms of quality.

f430 does look good though i must say.

QUOTE(Jasonist @ Apr 11 2007, 09:40 PM)
i have searched through google but unable to find CRC tat u mention... is tat a diecast manufacturer? if can, do u have images, so tat i can see the model pls?
*
Oppps, sorry, its CMC. Don't bother though, it cost more than twice as much as a typical aa.

Time to post some pic of my collection. Sorry if some of the pic seem out of focus. Its due to my camera having problem focusing for macro shot.

This is my very first autoart models, the one that start it all.

This is my one and only hotwheels, Ferrari 360. Took me months to find this model.
user posted image

This is the reason y I hate hotwheels. Look at the fuel cap, I do believe they have forgoten to include it in their initial prototype design. As a result, they think its a good idea to draw a circle using black ink and call it a day.
user posted image

Jackygwh: Thx for including the production link for CMC model. Not as thrill as I have few months ago. I do believe they purposely skim on details for the 1/18 SLR just so that it wouldn't effect their 1/12 model.

Jasonist: Yeh, well, my collection consist mostly of classic models, american muscle cars and european cars. I got my mustang from ebay cost me about 320 including shipping and tax. as for the GT, got it from Sing and it cost me around RM300.

Anyway, I heard that autoart have just jack up their price by 5%-8%. So for those of u who r going to Singapore, get as many as u can cause I do believe the discount will still base on the old price. As the discount is over, I think they will revise their retail price base on the current increment.

The reason Sing is selling cheaper is because they don't have tax on toys unlike Malaysia which impose a 15% tax on toys.

Jasonist : Yeah, I've always like american muscle car, especially those from the 50s. Like the way it sound when the engine starts, like a dog growling at u.

Jackygwh : I don't think they have the elite version of 360. Even if they do, I wouldn't buy it. Just saw one of their latest elite version of ferrari 599. They did the same thing to it as well. This time they use a even thicker marker pen.

Time to do some poisoning with my crappy pic.
Here's some of my latest purchase.

Jackygwh : Yeh, I need to order a lot in order to save on the shipping cost.

Jasonist : U can never have enough of mustang especially after watching transformers. That police mustang, a thing of beauty. That Aston looks amazing in Midnight Blue. I was initially going for black a few months ago. Thank god I change my mind. As for the Porsche, its from autoart. New colour for that model.

Anyway, I'm placing an order this week, I got 3 more free slot. Those who wanna join can pm me the model u want as well as the link. Price would vary between 250-280 depending on the model u're looking for.

Jasonist : Actually they do have the mustang for sale, just that the quality is crappy even when compare to maisto. As for the new camero, I do believe its still a concept car. Somehow, I still prefer the look of the old camero.

gye325 : 320 for the 6 series is pretty reasonable. Especially since u're getting it in Malaysia.

may i ask some questions?
are there any diecast of scale bigger than 1:18?
how much is the maisto 1:18 McLarenF1 (1999) worth now?
*
The biggest I've seen so far is from a company called Amalgam. Scale, 1/8. Cost, half a Savvy.
For most company, the biggest scale is 1/12. Cost around 1-2k depending on models and company.

as for the mclarenF1. It's very hard for u to get ur hands on one. I would estimate it to cost around 150-200 a piece.

Mclaren: Do ur friend bring in autoart as well? Will their models be price similiar to Singapore retail?

Jackygwh: I've never heard of Hotworks b4, is their models any good or its about the same as maisto?

Btw, I heard a lot of great reviews and bargains from Nikko Ipoh. Is it really that good? If so, there's no need for us to travel to Sing anymore to get cheap models.

Jasonist: Got it with the help of my friend at a pretty decent price.

-vip3rleon9-: Nah, nothing to do with the Gran Turismo series. I just like Ford GT. It looks way better in person. U could see the details of the carbon fiber. Not sure whether its actually made out of carbon fiber though cause the texture seems to fit the 1/18 scale.
