I'd just say, "stock trading is nothing much different to casino gambling"

if u buy and hold for dividend, I'd say it's prudent investing

but if u talk about all those fundamental, chart analysis, pattern reading etc etc etc
all are bullsh*t, at the end of the day u r at mercy of the market forces and the big sharks swimming around waiting to feast on small traders like u and me

they mau complain sendiri poor mah .. i meh follow suit lo ...

Ok ayam in the mood to lecture

e.g. u invest 10K in stock ABC, u aim to gain 10%
then u so suay market go down, u lose 5% in no time
so ur stock value jadi 9.5K
so now, for ABC to make u profit of 1K, it needs to go up (11K-9.5K)/9.5K=15.7%
what if market continues to fall? ur target gets even farther

compare to casino now

u bring 10K, u aim to make it become 11K
no one ask u to hantam 10K in one go
u could e.g. divide into 20 units of 500 each
u win 1 time, u r now 10.5K, another 500 to go
u lose 2 times, u r now down to 9.5K
and so on...

if ur timing/luck is bad, u could buy into a stock that will take forever to recover, not to say profit

ayam sleep now. yesterday sleep only 3 hours . but pinky talking interesting stuff liow. i must come back and read tmr. nites all!

depends on which stock u got...
some now 15.00 may drop till 7.00 = u lose 8k liao...
some like harvest last time <1.00 then up till 2.xx then drop again ...

just now I got say, if u buy for dividends, yea I'd say it's prudent investing, but dun expect miracles, 5-10% gain annually in the long run is very achievable

but, what that dun go down much, also won't go up much, these are all dividend plays
expect 5-10% profit annually
