I didn't thought of any dividend since the propose of right issue biggrin.gif

you are right about the effect of the right issue.. if i remember correctly, last year they gave 4.6 cents but this year they reduce to 3.8 cents.. sienzz.. nonetheless, i like their management since they take care of the interest of the minority shareholders biggrin.gif this kinda stock, where to find? tongue.gif

Glad to hear that u finally accept a lower Dividend from Tambun. icon_rolleyes.gif

What I hear and know a little more about Tambun is :

They buy up quite a big land near the second bridge , and might be good for the long term shareholders . Kinda Opportunity benefits outweigh the opportunity costs  to me.

Prop stocks have to constantly look for for good lands ( could be bad due to Directors personal interests involved ), that could cause a major cash out flow .

These days if " big ones do not go out , no bigger ones ( cashflows ) come in."

Like the case of TM. Big Capex involved, but good for the future. Investing is about the future too.

Just my view.

Take care always.

I think most if not all business need capital for growth.. they just can't simply give most of the profits to the shareholders.. given the current price and proposed divvy, i guess they are doing a good job in trying to balance in between growing the company and rewarding the shareholders..

A piece of new for Tambun holders

http://www.theedgemalaysia.com/business-ne...-in-penang.html

i think this is a good move in complementing their proposed township and attracting more young families and foreign buyers (expatriate).. and there are chances that the time of completion in 2014 may coincide with the completion of the 2nd bridge which will add more value to their properties

in terms of breakeven, i am not sure if they could get back their investment of 35M in 20 years from the rental.. but i believe they could easily cover the original investment from the appreciation of their properties

please correct me if i am wrong but i think i have a growing liking to this counter by seeing them working on what they have talked

Looks like we Malaysians have been blocked from accessing the server.
A quick check with uptime website reveals they are still up.
