Ooo.....I have been keeping it until now. Dunno what to do with it also. Don't need much cash at the moment also. So keep till now. Why you think it will give 20c special divvy? Surprise windfall for me?  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
the Empresa and Sachiew disposal will give them about 270M cash... thats about RM1 per share...
I'm speculating 20c special divvy, ok lar~~~ not asking for too much tongue.gif

Furthermore, experts are predicting CPO to reach RM4k per tonne this year... drool.gif drool.gif
all CPO and related stocks sure will have a good time... (hopefully)

QUOTE(garfield282004 @ Apr 20 2012, 10:43 AM)
Just hold it and keep for DIV, this share management quite ok to give div. I hold it since 2009 till now, having good return on Div.  smile.gif
I'm waiting for their Indo plants to muture and expand; hopefully it growth as it plan.

QUOTE(ryan18 @ Apr 22 2012, 11:45 AM)
want to ask since i am newbie
never attended AGM before
is it mostly uncle/auntie attend one (for obvious reason they have retired n nothing to do),no people like 20s attend one?
*
i do make an effort to attend AGM at least once for the companies that i wish to hold until - God knows when... tongue.gif
~mainly to listen to what the big taukehs / CEO / MD / Directors say about their businesses and most importantly, listen to questions asked by veterans and FA sifus.. some are really good, but most ask silly and irrevelant questions..
~some management really sound sincere and genuine (maybe Oscar winners) while some just do for the sake of doing...
~from my experience:
50% are uncles/aunties/proxies..
20% other corporate shareholders eg. representatives from EPF, Khazanah, MSWG, etc..
20% retired employees who are also shareholders
10% misc individuals raning from 20-40+, some hardcores even bring laptops along to monitor stocks sweat.gif ... i'm under misc-non hardcore..
~most senior staffs will be there too..

OT: hehe sometimes can impress the pretty ladies at the registration counters too... if u r young & have like XX,XXX,XXX shares LOL.....
~i was once mistaken to be a staff of the company, and sometimes mistaken as proxy and corporate representatives... all kinds of things.. lol.... laugh.gif
conclusion, i think it's good to attend for the experience..

kekekeke Sarkozy losing to Socialist Hollande in round1....
if France is taken over by opposition,, then mkt will surely take a hit.. LOL

anyone reads Edge Weekly ?? it says GuanChong's competitor in singapore trades at 17xPE.... while GuanChong is only at 7xPE...
so there's a good reason for GC to trade in singapore (dual listing)..
a lot of upside for GC though...
anyway i havent check out the "competitor".. maybe it has a better balance sheet, thats why the premium..

ohh that date was set in February~~ in between there was some issue with settlers.. icon_idea.gif brows.gif
so now postponed to June~~
hopefully got more time for me...

~Felda's mkt cap is expected to be around RM21B..... my guess is it will be included into KLCI by year end liao..
~Felda produces a tenth of the world’s palm oil supply and owns 14 refineries, of which seven are in Malaysia. The group has operations in 11 countries and churns over RM20 billion of revenue a year
~it's important to study the corporate structure carefully to make sure the cash cow arm is included in the IPO~~ icon_idea.gif
dun simply wallop anything with the name "felda" lol

u mind a non-sifu to comment ?

u r referring to Tambun right ?
~2 rights shares for every 5 shares
~1 free Warrant for every 5 shares
QUOTE(billeu @ Apr 25 2012, 07:15 AM)
erm...

The commission charged by Remisier for selling the -OR is it the same as normal shares?
not sure but i think standard commission applies for selling OR
How if i fail to sell the -OR on the last day of trading rights?
U have 2 options..
1:convert all to mother. They should've mailed u the rights subscription form. detail instruction is on the list.
U can also download the form from bursa, but i forgot where.. tongue.gif anyway, it looks something like this :
http://announcements.bursamalaysia.com/EDM...F%20(White).pdf
2:do nothing with the OR, and it will expire and become toilet paper once past the "Acceptance Date"..

How bout the warrants?
the warrant is issued free to u, it comes with an expiry date, usually 3-5 years later.. u can choose to keep/sell on listing..

thanks sifu  notworthy.gif  i do understand the ex and payment date..but get confused when look at entitlement date  rclxub.gif
*
Ur shares take 3 days to be delivered mah~~~~
If u buy a day before Ex.. with C(Cum) entitlement, then the shares will be delivered to you on T+3, am i right ?
Then, the Entitlement Date is always T+3 from Ex Date with Ex-Date being T+1....

so, it's all about making sure the share is delivered to ur CDS/Nominee before or on the Entitlement Date itself...

u get it now ??
so Ex date is just "created" to help investors.. the official one should be Entitlement Date...

hope u understand what i'm trying to say... sry, engrish no good LOLOL...

Hello everybody~~~
wow, good to see healthy discussion is back in this thread.. Bravo ~ notworthy.gif

imo, whether with or without sell button is really depends on individual and also which stock it is..
there is no 1 single method that works for all stocks or everyone.. it's too abstract to have a general method for every stock and
too diverse to have a method that suits everyone..

some may view a penny stock as NoNo.. while some see it as tomorrow's DutchLady.. icon_idea.gif

persoanlly, i aim to be versatile...
~passive investment for divvy as main strategy, aka buy and hold.. whether sell or not really depends on situation..
~invest in solid companies with decent FA and growth prospects...
~i admit i also goreng a bit here and there... only when risk:reward is really worth it. i dun view quick bucks from goreng is a bad thing as long as u dont do it blindly tongue.gif
~no method is bad as long as it increases ur portfolio's value consistently thumbup.gif
~there's no point to draw a clear line whether there's a need to sell XXXX once u've bought it.. things change.. cannot be too stubborn sometimes..
~there's a huge difference between selling to take profit and selling when there's a change in fundamental..
