QUOTE(Kelv @ Jan 11 2017, 10:46 AM) No news for ASUS on the next gen for this great phone. It's a great concept, I miss using this phone. Well, the thing failed to gain traction even after several attempts. I agree that the concept is great, maybe that the implementation can be better. Also, the android tablet market is performing worse day by day rather than better. Since phones are getting larger and larger, they're eating into the tablet market. Also, it's hard for people to invest into proprietary accessories, such as the tablet dock. Even other proprietary accessories from other manufacturers also failed to sell well.Maybe what they could do is, make a portable usb display. The display will hold the phone via a padded clamps and suction cups. So, user can plan any phones onto the display mounting and video out via USB. The display can also be connected to other devices that support video out, therefore will not limit on who can use the display. |

Although I am using 5.7" now, I realize 5" is just nice for one hand usage.
When I reach home, I will now use laptop as 5.7" will be too small for video/ebook reading/game. Miss the convenient of instantly plugging in the 9" tablet and the stereo sound. This post has been edited by Kelv: Jan 11 2017, 11:32 AM |

Yeah, I even failed to try the thing because when trying to buy the tablet, it just won't display anything. Probably the connector is already busted, so never able to try it. so sad

My padfone s has fallen to its death a few month ago. Considering selling it for parts. Screen and battery compromised. Phone still works but the repair cost for screen and battery is too much.

Last time, my brothers phone have touch screen issue, so thought of buying the tablet dock to continue use it, but to no avail. Connecting to the tablet dock doesn't help as it failed to transition to the tablet mode. Sad. |
