Nowadays, most of them are getting Aztech DSL600E.

I got ZTE....
if i am not mistaken, All in Box one they gave Aztech!!

Most probably yes. It depends on the stock that they have.

In my opinion, they give out 600E maybe because that modem is ADSL2 ready.

so ADSL2 will be coming soon?

If I'm not wrong, TMNet is testing ADSL2. When will it be available is still unknown.

broadband 2+ = the ADSL 2+ rite? but we talking about ADSL 2 .... if not mistaken max speed only 12 or 14 mbps but its also freaking fast already

But in Malaysia, we are lucky that TMNet didn't give the users a quota.

how does the quota works?

In other countries, there are different packages with different quota. Normally quota is around 20GB. So let's say you downloaded 20GB for a month, starting from 20.1GB your speed will be reduced to 56k speed if I'm not mistaken.

20 gig per month.. hoho.. i downloaded more than 30 gig in one week..

im glad im a streamyx user even sumtime their line sux..

What service is he using? ISP name? Country?

Most countries got quota. Some don't. If it doesn't have, then it's great.

taught i would get aztech as my replacement modem, but he actually told me he only have ZTE!!!

tm net contractor will giv u what they hav as replacement. not what u can choose.

they p*** 1, i sure hope have aztech, it sure is better than ZTE

You got furious until you double posted. Chill. Why you get so angry when you are getting a ZTE for replacement ? It's free right ? Just appreciate it. There's nothing else you could do. The contractor might be out of stock for Aztech modems.

The duration between 1st and the 2nd one was 2 minutes. Accident ? I don't know.

IMO, I don't think the brand of a modem will affect the quality of the connection. Just live with the ZTE. It may serve you well.

or you can do some experinment with the ZTE modem

Goin to subscribe for Streamyx soon, can i know if the tm-provided modems are multiple port switch/hub as well, so that I wont need to buy switch/hub to divide the bw.

ZTE is good enough for me. been using it for 2 months...( new subscriber maa.. ) and never have to reboot.

@jing_kohkoh the installer told me tm will provide only the cheapest modem. what i did was buy another router+AP. a switch is also cheap now. about RM70.

It doesn't have additional LAN ports. But if you get Aztech DSL600E, it has router function and all you have to do is get a switch.

XTE is a modem\router.You need to buy switch.

I rec the Level1 - with 4 port switch.Cost 75 and is a germany brand
