as per topic (and accepting soad_vs_incubus' challenge in his sale thread tongue.gif ), please share your TESLArized guitar pics and your experiences using these dark-horse korean-made pickups here! let me break the ice...

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

project #1 - Tesla AH-1 active set (ashportal)
- good active pickups (blackout clone? who knows), good for cleans too
- if ur guitar have crappy wood (sort of plywood) but want that hi-end sound, this active set was the solution
- sadly, i've sold this guitar because of some personal reasons sad.gif

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

project #2 - Tesla Plasma-2 gold set (ashportal too)
- if metal is ur territory and u have a fixed bridge guitar, this plasma-2 set was recommended, high roaring output yet smooth on cleans
- coz the sound was too metal, i've replaced this plasma-2 set with dimarzio DP103/DP100 (GASsed sweat.gif ) couple of months ago, for that classic rock les paul sound

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

project #3 - Tesla Plasma-1/VR-1/VR-Extreme (VR-Extreme from ashportal, others from SV Guitars S'pore)
- my current TESLArized guitar, i called it tesla all-rounder combo
- plasma-1 sounds 'sandy' high on treble, good for those clean acoustic simulations
- vr-1 sounds more like classic strat
- vr-extreme as the name suggest, meant for extreme distortion

up the TESLA! \m/ thumbup.gif

guitar : epiphone special 2
pickups : plasma X1 bridge and neck
review : (not very good at it *amateur guitarist here* but i'll try anyway)
- i play mainly on distortion. the tone is sharp, not muddy. pinch harmonics come out a lot easier compared to stock pickups. sounds really GARANG, with each string tone coming out. no strings get drowned out by the other.)
-then i played on clean. EVEN better. the tones are really defined.

err...dunno what else to say. cuz me no good reviewer. but i really love these pickups. hehe.

I have installed Tesla VR-nitro on my crappy SX Les Paul (which I sold of later because wanted to upgrade). I'd definitely say that the tone of my guitar improved alot. Here are the pictures when I installed the pickup by myself biggrin.gif
