Overall, it consider cheaper than market price. However, does it comes with installation of Downlight & Hole Opening as well? Moreover, is looping consider as same price or cheaper?

The main important thing I think is the cable grade. Some cheap power cable from China which is not full-copper may caused BIG issue like fire after few years used.

for the downlight & hole opening, i'm not sure on this.. aren't this cover by the plaster ceiling guy? i'll double check with him on this.
btw.. what is looping?
as for the cable grade, as long as it's full copper, it should be ok, rite..

Hole opening normally didn't covered by Plaster Ceiling guy. Most of them charged you small fees around RM5 per hole & for the downlight installation around RM5-10 per unit. Ceiling fan I think around RM20-RM30 gua.

For the cable grade, normally full copper power cable is harder to twist around compared with half-copper. Moreover, you can see the inner copper color is abit plain then full-copper color.

Just double check with ur electrician, I don't think they will lie to you on this since they also wanted to cari makan but some may give you cheap price because you only ask for cheap price but never ask for quality. So can't blame them also. smile.gif

they have charge 180 for heater point in quotation and upon completion they say they forget because it's two way control for bothroom into single heater they want to charge extra for 600, another 180 could be reasonable but 600 is just crazt vmad.gif

I am referring to power point. RM 55 for mix of looping or can go without looping.

Some contractor dare to use 1.5mm for power point.

i am staying at mainland also,
last time i renovate was 3 yrs back. hole opening is free from plaster guy. u just need to tell them where.
light n fan installation will be charge separately and depend on ur contractor about the charges.

RM600 is way too WRONG
my house come with no wiring for water heater previously and got one room i did 2 way switch also
i cannot remember how much but for sure NOT RM600. as i remember my bill the most exp item is my autogate cable. also this also less than RM600
better talk to ur contractor and ask WHY ? is it he count water heater in the bill as well ?

thanks for all yr feedback.. will clarify with the contractor on some of the question raised here..
current electrical guy n the plaster ceiling guy is from the same team, which used to work together on projects..
tmr will arrange for another diff team to come n survey n quote based on earlier item..

I got quoted for simple plaster ceiling for the living room, dining room till the kitchen for around 1.8k.. detail wise, I still waiting for the quote from my wife..
do u think this is expensive? juz simple plaster ceiling with hidden lighting in the living room (square type).. the rest is juz plain plaster ceiling..
as for the 2nd floor, there is alrdy plaster ceiling from the developer, so nothin much to add in the masterbedroom/etc..

Two way water heater switches normally electrician will charge as 2 points. For example, 1 water point x RM150 then should be 2 x RM150 = RM300.

RM600 is way too much!!! smile.gif
