I used to have terrible mosquito bites and allergy on my legs. I keep scratching them and now they look like this- very ugly dei. I will do anything to fix the problem cause now I am quite weird, I wear long pants everyday or long skirt like a Malay (no offence) to uni when I used to wear tank tops and shorts everyday. I am very embarrassed of my leg I also don't dare to go swimming. I heard that there is some kind of laser treatment to fix this problem? I want to try but want to know the cost (Roughly?), like, <10,000 hopefully. Any advice is welcomed I genuinely appreciate them I really desperate and sad. sad.gif

From the photo, i can see fresh wounds. Still having mosquito bites and allergy? Gotta treat the allergy first.is the allergy external or internal?

There arr many scar removal gel in the market. Cheap and effective but it takes a long time. Hirudroid is one.

Don't know, never go see doctor. Just that red rashes will randomly appear at night for no reason. Great idea but don't really think that scar gels work.

I had a really bad scar from bicycle accident when I was 10. Huge and noticeable from afar. It was so bad, my dad kept buying fresh aloe vera to apply on it everyday for almost a year. Stopped because it doesn't looked like there was improvement but we compared pics from then and now, there was differences. My scars are still around but it's a story to tell. smile.gif

Bio oil and Hirudroid do work but they take time and the changes aren't noticeable till much later.

Better get the allergy checkout. You may make your skin prettier but your main problem is the allergy. You'll just make new scar...

were you bitten by bed bugs while sleeping? some ppl do have ultra sensitive skin and when they scratched it due to itch, it will swell and all. so, as far as possible don't scratch it or else it will leave those dark pigmentation behind.

i don't have sensitive skin like you. even when i got bitten by mosquitoes, bed bugs or anything, i scratched it, when it's healed, i don't get dark pigmentation behind. anyway, whenever i got bitten, i don't wanna scratch it, i will just apply HABA's squalene oil and in an instant, it will subside.. no itch or whatsoever.

recently, i got bitten by bed bugs behind my neck. i didn't even realized it and i kept scratching it.. i thought was it acne? then yesterday's night, applied squalene oil and this morning that bites subsided and i am not even scratching it anymore. darn you bed bugs!! i have killed you.. where the hell you come from?!! lol

But I cleaned my beds and didn't find any insects. Are bed bugs microscopic? I wanna know more about your bed bugs experience. Btw, you are lucky to have no brown scars! Can I have your skin? heehee.

I really dont get why you didnt opt for doc or pharmacist.
Very simple! Show it and they will diagnose you and prob solved!
Sometimes it remains due to food n environment

Here we can only share experience how our scars get treated...
What they suggested works so you can apply it after you're healed
However skin condition, better get the definite answer first ya

Think you better get a medical check up, see what the doctor has to say. they have particular cream for this kind of scars.

better becareful and not try to scratch them anymore even tho it is very itchy, it may cause more scars that may be harder to heal in the future.

Before you try to get any solution to cure those scars, you need to check out if you are allergic to anything or if you have bed bugs around. Saw from your pictures that you still have fresh red wounds.

I dont know how to check for allergy, but for bed bugs, some of the things you can check is:
1) u always get fresh bites after sleeping at night (i read somewhere bed bugs more active at night)
2) you find red bloody spots on your bed surface (small ones la)
3) your housemates get similar bites
4) you or your housemates always seem to have itchy spots especially after sleeping.

For curing the scars on your legs, I can personally tell you that vitamin e cream and bio oil works, BUT very very slowly (cant see much difference in a few months sadly). I have scars all over my legs too =[, they are quite delicate - i scratch one time, skin break already.

I suppose laser treatment may work, but I've never tried it lor.

Another option is this Nuskin product called AgeLoc Face Spa. It's being advertised as able to smooth fine lines, reduce aging on skin, etc, but my friend who is an agent and also have tried the product herself, says that it works on scars on legs also. Also work on scalp to reduce hair loss. Its quite expensive, but even my MIL's friend swore by it. If you're interested, PM me and I can get more info for you.

Good luck!

I was like that too, but I did only to watch my diet, and use bio-oil and aloe vera lotion. After that now is much nicer, without spend thousands for laser treatment which you might not get what you want

My legs used to be that when I was small..

I still remembered my relatives always laugh at me saying that I have a lot of "coins" on my leg..

but now..those scars automatically fade.. but it is really a long time..

I have sensitive skin too..every insect bite will turn reddish and ended up as brown scar even I didn't scratch them at all..i even got injections with specialist when I'm younger..nothing stop the itches nor the existence marks..as i get older i learnt to stop my itchy leg by applying my toner which has quite an amount of alcohol..2times per day applying bio oil did work for me..but super slow slow and not very noticeable..im about to try the fade cream from palmer's soon..it has 2% hydroquinone in it but I'm going to try anyway, with moore sunscreen of course..which me luck and good luck with yours too..

My legs and arms used to look like yours, TS. I have overly sensitive skin, even until now. One scratch from my cat, the scar will stay there for at least 2-3 years before it slowly fades. If an insect bites me and I scratch, it'll turn red, then few days later the red will turn into brown and it'll be there for a long time.

I have tried numerous products, including Cica-Care and Mederma. The only thing that works for me is Vitamin E. Don't go for the expensive types like Colonial Dames, go for Bio-Oil like some of the forumers said.

And yes, the process is slow. You need to be determine and apply it at least every night.

you're not the first one to have this problem,in fact, there's 3 that I know of in my house smile.gif my sis,my aunt and her daughter. They have really sensitive skin,my sis on her legs, aunt and her daughter on their arms.

My sis has been having the problem since small, she only started taking care after she's grown up. Slight scratch from her will cause wound like problems. My dad gave her medicinal cream for the open wound then told her to apply bio-oil. Try it out,but do have patience. my sis did not have that patience lol.

yours is not as bad as my sis, just be consistent and apply bio-oil.

When mosquito bite dont scratch. I know it is impossible but reduce the scratch. I think you surely scratch until your skin bleeds a little right? I used to have this leg too when i was very young but as i am growing up i stop scratching and use Mopiko for mosquito bites. You can find it in various pharmacy like Guardian or Watson. Use mosquito repellent!!

my leg always look like urs~
allergy to new environment, the doctor claimed. (That is the most headache. who won't travel to new environment??)

but the old folks said i must be accidently stepped on something "dirty" out there. lol!!!

and i would always scratch it because it is REALLY ITCHY!!! end up scars a lot... but i often left it behind, in abt one year or two, it will eventually get lighten and disappear (most of them).

Apply Bio oil (require longer time) / Natopherol Dermal Skin Defence E (quite effective!), externally, or consume Lecithin E (amway brand better).
with this way, can heal faster^^

i lazy to apply and consume anything so i left it behind slowly heal.

My right leg also got bitten by a bed bug just a few months ago. And it hurt me so bad! vmad.gif So, I went to the pharmacy and purchased this gel cream called Candacort. It works... okay on me. Now I have a very uglaaay scar, polka-dot-like. cry.gif Where did you buy HABA's squalene oil, anyway?

Very simple . First of all to solve any problem you have to go to the root of problem . According to the picture I still can see fresh wounds , so do whatever to avoid mosquito bites from now on , no point doing laser if the problem hasn't been solved .

For your case , its common and mild , don't get too upset <3
Those black spot appear on your legs are called hyper pigmentation , its due to over production of melanin in ur skin after the wound heals.
Go to your pharmacy nearby and look for a topical medication that contain ''hydroquinone'' either 2% or 4 % will be good enough.

Hydroquinone is a type of chemical that prevent the skin from producing melanin therefore those spots will go away after a months of treatment .
Follow the instruction and apply accordingly

But please note that upon applying this topical , your skin will get sensitive to sun lights , so please wear clothes that covers your leg when you're in outdoor even if its evening to avoid sunlight.

The treatment should lasts for 1 months .

Good luck , feed back your results to me , and ask me if you have any questions .

And please don't visit any skin specialist or go for laser treatment , its not necessary.

i tried bio-oil, but it didn't work for me....how long does it take to work? 1/2year?? 1 year??

i stopped after few months because i'm lazy

end up i went to redang and get myself tanned.... now the scar looks less obvious, but is still there
