QUOTE(samwongjyhhorng @ Apr 16 2012, 11:54 PM) For me it's Inspira as well, side by side, Preve looks taller and bigger, but when sat behind, I felt the Inspira roomier.

QUOTE(kucau @ Apr 17 2012, 12:38 PM) the upcming audi A4 with 1.8 TSI engine ( turbo) is also using CVT! like our bro mat79 said, like it or not CVT is here to stay. Lots of manufacturer coming with CVT as well. Honda just push out their new CVT.

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Apr 17 2012, 12:51 PM) I personally prefer DSG lol. But revving up in a CVT with an adequately powered engine is so buttery smooth nobody in the effing car will notice you're already at 180. Funny my first experience with a CVT was in Gran Turismo 3 (it was a Honda Fit), and I hated it like heck. Sadly in real life I'm too lazy to drive a manual lol. I tried the Fiesta DSG, not really my cup of tea, keep on searching gears for some reason. Didn't try the one on VW, first time on CVT, so we'll see how it goes after test drive. Mission is to whack till 4k, try paddle shifter, S mode and normal mode.

Tested as well,
Acceleration seems funny, seems lethargic but once hit 2-4k it's quite good.
Very stable, manage to reach 140 in mrr2 stretch.
need some time to get used to the CVT.
Handling, cun, just like persona

QUOTE(MeToo @ Apr 17 2012, 03:01 PM) I think proton cars handlign have came a long way already... their lotus experience really paying off. How abotu top speed bro... did u try push higher then 140kmh and how is the ability to climb after say 150kmh? Erm, i'm driving at mrr2 on broad daylight, didn't really go to max speed, plus im not buying this car for top speed. i felt the car hitting 200km/h is sap sap sui, but i haven't tested it. Upon reaching certain 'RPM' it's quite powderful

QUOTE(mat79 @ Apr 17 2012, 03:06 PM) ha..ha..i said turn off esc n tc for a while to enjoy everything without electronic interuption, thats all but beyond 150kmh, all will kick back automatically for safety reason. In full cvt mode,4k means the best balance between torque n hp produce. If beyond that, torque is lesser but not much, unless using paddle shifter, so, pedal to metal applied. Just for enjoyment, not for daily driving. Btter let esc n tc on(one button for both function) How do you turn off those ? I'm not good with paddle shifter, guess I'll just put it at D and sit back and enjoy, the sound system is decent. Heck it's wayyyyy better than my myvi

QUOTE(BuFung @ Apr 17 2012, 08:01 PM) In the globalization world, it's either u r good.. Or u r out... The more protection u put in, the backward u going to... Any industries... Even nation like USA refuse to pour more $ into their own brand... Then only they will wake up to save themselves... Same goes to Nissan... Japanese national brand... There r more n more brand become a global brand, instead of the brand belong to any nation... Renault make car in Korea, etc... Too bad.. Thats the way it is... Isn't GM just being bailed out by US Gov not long ago? It was 360 million loan, save it from getting bust. But yea, we need an open market

QUOTE(-cmi- @ Apr 17 2012, 08:15 PM) I get your point but for me, Malaysian mentality which always think negatively in whatever product that produced by Malaysian is need to change. Our people lack the spirit to support each other and more prefer to bashing blindly rather than use some rational thinking. This is just wrong. Our people is not like Japanese, Korean, Germany and other country that have superb patriotism. Their own brand doesn't need protection by gov because their rakyat itself will protect their own brand. Their rakyat really know what is the best for their economy. I bet if gov doesn't protect our local brand, Malaysia is the 1st country that will been eaten by globalism. After years of tarnished products, it's hard to get people to change overnight. Since when you felt Proton become better? Personally for me it's during DSZ period, and how many years is that? Now they want to rebuild the image brand. Slowly la, I can see the progress It takes time to heal

QUOTE(marquis @ Apr 17 2012, 08:28 PM) Hmm...A bit of a noobish question - will all affin bank offer this rate, or different banks will offer different rates? On a different note, one of my friends quite interested with this car...but she just bought a myvi se. It's only been about three months since she bought the car. Would it be possible for her to trade in the car you think? 1. Diff banks diff rates, I got 2.93, 3.22 and now still pending the last one. 2. Prepare to take huge loss

QUOTE(N1ck @ Apr 17 2012, 08:31 PM) Anyone tested the audio system, hows it? Pretty decent, blaupunkt. Not really a car audio guy though, best is you try it yourself. Audio stuff varies from one person to another. It's like choosing IEM or headphones. QUOTE(BuFung @ Apr 17 2012, 08:32 PM) Like it or not... Vios is a good/reliable car... Yeap, it is pretty reliable from A to B, plus it got a good logo and good FC.
