No worries, it seems some platforms can actually cater 5 or 6 car in future biggrin.gif

mrt malaysia from each station to next station is it 2 minutes???
or what??

You mean train frequency or travel time? smile.gif

If travel time, it is like this.

Sungai Buloh to Seksyen 16 (Eastin Hotel) = 24 minutes

Seksyen 16 to Pusat Bandar Damansara = 4 minutes

Pusat Bandar Damansara to Semantan = 2 minutes

Semantan to KL Sentral = 4 minutes

KL Sentral to Pasar Seni = 2 minutes

Pasar Seni to Merdeka = 1 minute

Merdeka to Bkt Bintang = 2 minutes

Bkt Bintang to Pasar Rakyat = 2 minutes

Pasar Rakyat to Cochrane = 2 minutes

Cochrane to Kajang = 29 minutes

i mean why not direct make it 6 cars at the first place why must wait until every car is loaded only want to consider 6 cars? this kind of simple metality is the one that make our country lagging behind

Even our current LRT 6 cars is already almost packed during peak hours...

unlike singapore they require 6 cars because everyone there use the public transport (whole nation)
even they having 6 cars, they still got carry people, not merely bringing "angin" on board
*
Wasn't like that all the time though 6 cars were run from the start..
I think its easier to get more trains or lower the project cost in the short term by using 4-car trains.. However, the response to increase train length must be quick, unlike that of the Kelana Jaya Line in the past where they waited too long to react..

I believe it is allocated for future development. To me, number of trains more important than number of coaches. The frequency of train per minute is more efficient than maximum capacity per go. They estimated 2-3 minutes per station, and it seem to be very efficient already.

Nevertheless, viaducts progressing near peak.

yes if i'm not mistaken singapore started it's construction of the mrt line in 1985
by 1987 part of it were open and completed

they started with 6 cars and is still using 6 cars till today

what they did to improve their efficiency and cater for reducing people's travel time was to increase the frequency and time the trains accordingly to specific needs
*
1983 - construction began
1987 - 5 stations opened
1990 - completion of initial lines

What I meant was that the trains weren't always full from day 1.. They had periods, especially on the CCK Branch line where it was pretty empty (ala LRT)..

The frequency still has much to improve upon though..
