Benny, I saw you replied my post in XDA, just want to say thanks... also I have pressed the thanks meter
Anyway, I should flash the LP5 kernel and modem first prior to flashing midnote 3.2, basically this skip the midnote 2.1 base and flashed straight to 3.2 correct? |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 13 2012, 11:54 AM) No , you must install the 2.1 base rom I'm from criskelo's ICS rom, however if you read his 3.2 instruction as below coming from GB, surprisingly he did not asked to install the 2.1 base as well...His instructions is very clear - flash this than follow by 3.2 zip Read it again http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1511841 If you are coming from other ICS roms, than possibly you can skip 2.1 base COMING FROM GINGERBREAD WITH FULL ROOT GUIDE : 1. Download base rom (named 2.1, but not important, is THE RIGHT ONE) 2. Download the kernel - zImage - 8.0 MB 3. Download the MIDNOTE3.2 zip file Please, before installation, delete "SPlannerAppWidget.apk" and "SecCalendarProvider.apk" from "system/app". Thanks 4. Do a nandroid backup of your actual situation 5. Open mobile Odin and select "open file", then select "step 1" tar file. Now select "kernel", then select "step 2" file (this time is "zImage" without any extension), verify that ALL (enable everoot, inject superuser, inject mobile Odin) are checked, then check also "wipe data and cache". Now press "flash firmware" and answer "yes" on md5 verify..... 6. After the flash, you will be in CWM recovery, do a WIPE DATA / FACTORY RESET, DON'T EXIT FROM RECOVERY but select "step 3" zip file and flash it. Now reboot. 7. Wait for cache rebuild, then when prompted select "SETUPWIZARD" (the second choice), check time option to "auto", then CHECK BOTH GOOGLE LOCATIONS options (keep attention to this step), DON'T ENTER YOUR GOOGLE ACCOUNT name and password in this step, finish your setup. Now select the launcher. 8. If you like STOCK SAMSUNG THEME, download this zip and flash it with CWM recovery : https://docs.google.com/open?id=0BzR...0JJLWFDVGcyNkE |

QUOTE(lhooipg @ Apr 13 2012, 12:08 PM) You are right... mata sepet Iguess.. hahaha Since I'm on criskelo ICS I will just flash the modem and kernel... first and then straight to midnote 3.2 thanks. This post has been edited by entaro: Apr 13 2012, 12:21 PM |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 13 2012, 12:13 PM) That is if you start from a gb rom Benny, just notice Stunner has LP5 kernel packed in already right, but the current rom I'm using does not have that, so can I use mobile odin just to flash the LP5 kernel first before flashing the midnote 3.2?Not necessary i would say if you are already on ics rom I flash 3.2 directly ontop stunner 4.5 |

No harm flashing it first if you need using mobile odin Yeah I'm using mobile odin.. think I will try flash the LP5kernel via mobile odin into the criskelo's rom... use the zimage file or the midone3-kernel.tar file, both is valid right? This post has been edited by entaro: Apr 13 2012, 06:11 PM |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 15 2012, 02:55 PM) No need worry. Trust n believe the developer. He knows better than all of us. I in fact tested flashing again directly from Cassie lc1. Confirm, I had the same problem when flashing to midnote.. I used the re-flash chinese repack method to gain full root back...Added on April 15, 2012, 3:02 pmOne piece of advice again to all rom flashers of ics lp5 or lp6. You will lose full root should you choose to restore back any ics lp5 rom. Read my blog for more info on this if you want to restore lp6 from eg Alba you will lose complete root n some apps if you reinstall superuser will not work most obvious is mobile Odin. Found this out this morning. LP6 rom is still unfriendly to be restored back |

QUOTE(ogiveyakuza @ Apr 16 2012, 10:18 AM) y not diamond, care to xplain, diamond user said it works perfectly find... You try ler it, then you report back... our GNote screen is damn beautiful, putting matte or diamond SP will make the beautiful screen less "attractive".... I've tried it all..Added on April 16, 2012, 10:19 am but i need sp, coz my work involve sand particle, as i am geologist, does the camera lens also scratch resistant... Added on April 16, 2012, 1:26 pm QUOTE(Duckies @ Apr 16 2012, 11:14 AM) Hmm I am deciding between 16GB Sandisk MobileUltra Class 6 or Kingmax 16GB Class 10.Dunno which 1 is better though but I like Sandisk brand and it's more expensive. Not sure how worth it is. class 10 Patroit 32GB cheap and good...Haha how much u selling? Added on April 16, 2012, 1:29 pm QUOTE(Duckies @ Apr 16 2012, 11:20 AM) Haha tat's y can fikir dulu Trust me, you need 32GB.... I had the same feeling initially, 16Gb enough liao ler.. then saw this promo by Patroit, ok ler gasak 32GB.. now my internal storage 1Gb left my 32Gb external 1 GB free left... 32Gb a bit overkill for me XD I juz put songs, pictures and music videos Still undecided between Sandisk and Kingmax. Now include Transcend also This post has been edited by entaro: Apr 16 2012, 01:29 PM |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Apr 16 2012, 01:41 PM) I normally watched movies on the Ipad, but while waiting or doing nothing outside of home, I used the Note to watch movies sometimes...Added on April 16, 2012, 1:48 pm QUOTE(peterscm @ Apr 16 2012, 01:44 PM) you will need 64GB after using 32GB for some times. Confirmed, getting tire of transferring files in and out of the note already... but still too expensive for me for 64GB, if it's below 300 then I will definitely get it...finally tested Sandisk 64GB SDXC formatted into FAT32 can be used in G. Note. It can even be used on Nikon D300s camera. It shows I can capture 4000 RAW pictures with it. This post has been edited by entaro: Apr 16 2012, 01:48 PM |
