by the way what's the difference between the LP5 modem and the original modem?

Do you have Chainfire CWM recovery installed in first place ?? Probably you are still on stock recovery

With CWM recovery 5.0.2.7 , you will see

- reboot system
- apply update from sdcard
- wipe cache partition
- install zip from sdcard
- backup and storage
-mounts and storage
- advanced
- power off
- ## go back ##

Try booting into recovery using volume down + power + home,CWM and Quickboot...still no option to backup.

When I run CWM,it says this version of CWM manager requires kernel 5.0 something and some features are disabled.Is this the cause?

I am running on rooted stock rom.

The LP5 modem is meant to match the LP5 kernel. You can still use your old GB baseband if you wish
The developers all use LP5 modem to avoid possible SOD issues due to the older modems

From what I read and wat I've (CWM Manager V3.0),I should follow this 1?

Instructions - If you already have CF-Root
- Copy the zip file to your SD card
- Stop sharing SD card with computer over USB, unplug the cable, etc
- Applications -> CWM -> Flash kernel. Select the ZIP file on your SD card.
- Done

Overall I would say the Stunner rom is a better rom ; it is definitely slicker and much smoother than Midnote and Alba LP6 . There seems to be no serious major bugs - I have yet to find in Stunner roms. Midnote roms tend to have slight freeze issue once a while when you switch apps
However I am using Midnote due to its Spen functions and S Memo. Since yesterday night I have switched to Alba V1 ( LP6) and just only half hour ago upgraded to Alba v2 ( based on LP6 ). Alba roms equally good as Midnote and it does not have those once a while freeze issues as Midnote 3.3. So far last 2 threads users already reporting issues but again I do not faced such issues - so I can say is bugs free for now

However if you read XDA threads, you will find varying comments about bugs on these roms. Frankly I do not faced those major bugs as reported - bugs are very minor and negligible
Example in Stunner before v5 - only minor bug I found was cannot change lockscreen wallpaper ( and is a reported confirmed bug by developer ). Reported Issues such as inconsistent sound volume, SMS ringtones not working, caller ID names cannot be displayed, gps issues, losing full root after flash , settings FC , gallery FC, gmail fail to work, playstore cannot buy apps etc etc - long list - I do not faced at all. That is why I give Stunner rom a 9.9/10 rom

Do I need to extract the MIDNOTE3.0_MODEM.zip to get the modem.bin file?

hmm, i will still stick to midnote 3.3 then since there's not much improvement compare to stunner .

Dont have LC2

use LC1 also can....

Stunner is a way much better rom than Midnote. It is slicker , faster and smoother probably without those bloated Samsung apps/widgets and offers more customizations

Don't worry too much, just find the matching download and use it. What if there is no matching download ? You can ask me to make one, but I can tell you right now, I very very rarely make CF-Root's for kernels on request, unless it is the very latest kernel that has been released by Samsung. In the latter case, be sure to let me know. If there's no match and I'm not making one, try finding the closest match. You should treat "KJ4" as a number, but instead of 1-9, we have 1-9, A-Z (where A would be 10, and Z would be 35). "KJ3" is really close to "KJ4", "KF1" is not close to "KG4" at all. I hope that makes sense.

Hmmm... Isn't there a newer LP6 modem? Can those ppl using ICS Stunner flash that instead of the older LP5 modem?

Boot to recovery since you already have CF 5.0 : you either use CWM apps in menu or manually boot - switch off phone. Press vol up+home+power
OMG you don't even understand the basics yet and you want to flash roms ?
