According to Stunner developers, they recommend backup via EFS. Do I really need that since I already have Titanium Backup and Nandroid backup?
*
Both these do not backup your imei/efs
It only take just 1-2 sec to backup efs using k tool. Do it if you are often flashing rooms

how is multi-tasking different from GB and ICS? In GB when app minimized still eat CPU as shown on the screen but ICS does not? All apps when quit properly still appear on the task manager in Stunner. It's a hassle if one has to clear all the recent apps. shakehead.gif
*
No need bother about it
Leave it alone
ICS will manage memory
The listing for your convenience only when you wish to launch certain previous apps
I never even look at it honestly
Think differently. ICS is not your typical windows os
I don't even use task manager in gb rom

benny, any memo apps to recommend? I don't like the ones in Stunner.
*
I don't think there is any 3rd party memo apps as good as Samsung Memo apps. I strongly suggest you switch to Midnote v3.3 roms or Alba LP6 if you need these S memo apps and closer to Gingerbread feel and with all the original Samsung apps/widgets
Installing it is simple. Just install directly on top of Stunner 5 and wipe data and all caches will do

I do not use SP at all - it is a waste of money. i have tested trying to scratch my Note with keys, coins and even dragging a used ballpen and penknife across the screen - ZERO scratches
The only thing that can possibly scratch it is fine sand particles

Refer www.setcpu.com for how to use it
You can only use it on certain kernel. Stock kernel will not support it

Guys, need an advice, I bought a second hand SGN and when I sms to check the warranty, it ask for me to register. I have emailed to ewarranty.sme@samsung.com together with my details and the scan copy of receipt. But after 3 weeks did not receive any reply and checked sms, still the reply not registered. I called Samsung Careline and they informed me even if I did not e-register the product, I can claim warranty by bringing the receipt, but the problem is I do not have an original receipt, only the scan copy which the previous owner emailed to me.

Can anybody give some advice how  to register my SGN. TQ
*
No need register
Copy of receipt is good enough

Very easy to flash just directly flash from recovery on top gb rooted rom. Just need wipe data n all caches
You have all Samsung apps n spen functions
It is based on latest lp6

No need flash kernel

No need to flash Abyss kernel? I'm on ODEX Stock ROM rooted GB 2.3.6
*
DON"T flash abyss kernel. I think I have said these umpteem times. You flash this only when you want to restore back your GB rom
The Stunner rom comes with LP5 kernel
as long as your GB rom is rooted , just flash Stunner directly on top thro recovery. Wipe data and all cacahes

Hey guys can I backup the titanium backup folder into my pc and then later transfer it back to the internal storage and restore?Dont have external memory card yet but damn tempted to flash Stunner...U ALL LA!!POISON POISON ><
*
Titanium Backup be default will auto create a TitaniumBackup folder inside your internal Sdcard
And DON'T remove it as you need to access it to restore back your apps
You can always copy the rom zip into root of internal SDcard. Need not use ext sdcard
Actually you should get a ext sd card so that you can free your internal sdcard for ebooks, music, videos and nandroid backups. ext SDcard is cheap these days - I just placed a order thro garage sales a 64 GB Sandisk , unbelievable at only RM 260 while the price was nearly RM500 only last month

If you have ext card it will goes to ext card. If not it will goes into internal Sdcard - wasting card space only

Benny, i never flash ICS repack, from rooted gb straight to Midnote. No prob at all.

But if i wanna flash from Midnote 3.3 to Stunner 5.0 or vice versa no need to flash Abyss kernel oso right? wipe data and caches will do right?
*
Why you guys keep asking about abyss ??? I repeat you flash abyss kernel only when you want to restore back to GB rom
And I repeat again ( i just quoted above only ) : just wipe data , caches and flash Stunner ontop of Midnote

And if you guys ever think of restoring back to any ICS roms or GB roms , do read my blog for tips:

takut ler..and lazy wanna do la..anyway, installation can just follow their instructions? need to install ics repack 1st or not?
*

If you are on GB rooted:

Stunner v4.3 and above - just flash directly ontop rooted GB rom or any other ICS roms wiping data n all caches

Midnote : MUST COMPULSORY flash 2.1 base rom first ( this is a repack of original Chinese leak ) than followm by 3.3

Actually if you guys bother to read the developer thread post #1 you shouldn't even be asking such questions. I always say follow developer instructions - they know best and definitely better than any of us here

Use hellcat K Tool - download from market. Run it and launch the app - just takes 1 sec to backup

Eh.. try to copy 64 GB worth of files to the card and see if it successfully completes. Fake ones will cut off at X GB where X is the real card capacity. Just saw a case of a guy buying a cheap WD external HDD only to find out it's a fake.

Ok. Ahh I missed out then. I've been wanting that card for a long time now but all the sellers keep sell at RM 350-500.. how to buy sad.gif

The poor guy bought a box of long screws instead of a harddisk - this is plain cheating not even a fake harddisk

Uncle, Dev said Flash Abyss Kernel rclxub.gif that's the reason why I said earlier about flashing Abyss Kernel
*
That is because he wants you to use abyss kernel to backup your GB rom first. It is not necessary if your default recovery can back it up. Many cook roms failed to be backup using default recovery but can always be backup using Abyss
And restoring back MUST use Abyss kernel
And I find it strange you are asking this question when the developer already told you to do so ? If you ask me, it is not necessary to flash abyss kernel. If you want to play safe, go ahead and flash it

It is safe but why you want to risk it ? What happen if you run into continual bootloop - charge it up to 70 % at least
