IMO, before strut, cornering at 130-140 less stable, less sure footed.

I'm using km/l myself, and am averaging 9-10km/l. But I drive like a maniac so that's more then acceptable.

Like Fuja said, drive 110 max, caress the throttle tenderly (vs mashing it down), keep the revs low and you'll get good FC, no issue.
