Update on the Super Circuit groupbuy :
1. Frank from SC is a super friendly guy, very patient and understanding, good service, feel very confident dealign with him. 2. Seems currently they are using 2"-2"-2.5" for the 4-2-1 extractor for 2.4L/2.0L cars. 3. 1.8L Inspira, they have not done any real R&D/testing as they do not have access to such model. 4. Frank mention, from his experience, CVT/auto cars, usually get better result with 4-1 instead of 4-2-1. 5. Spoke with Frank, and he agreed that using 2"-2"-2.5" for 1.8MT/CVT seems to be a little too big. So now the problem seems to be. - They feel 4-1 might be better for CVT but have not did any testing/dyno - They agree that the current pipes seems too big for 1.8L inspira. So to solve the problem, we negotiated with Frank and arrive at this (in my opinion awesome) solution. Frank will make several models of 4-1 as well as 4-2-1 with differing sizes, i.e. smaller then the current 2"-2"-2.5" especially for the 1.8L cars both CVT and MT. They will fit those models on our member's cars (those who is in the GB) and then Dyno as well as let us drive around for a few days. We will then give them feedback on the result. So, inbetween the driving feedback and Dyno result, we will ascertain what is the optimum pipe diameter for 1.8L as well as whether 4-2-1 or 4-1 is better for the CVT/MT. Hence, we will need atleast one 1.8CVT and one 1.8MT (hopefully those who REALLY will test the car kau kau) to volunteer to assist with this. The cars do not have to be left there, Frank will make the extractor first, then only takes awhile to fit it and then dyno. Ofcoure, maybe 2.0 members migth wanna try this as well, cause SC have not really tested smaller pipe size with 2.0L cars as well. All this is so that we can get the BEST size/configuration for each model of the car, and at the same time help SC with their R&D. Win Win situation. |

QUOTE(Poadster @ Apr 11 2012, 02:38 PM) Free your head.... you still have to PAY for the final part.... the test is for them to know which is the actual best part n size, and with dyno to prove... Stainlessteel piep no such thing as 2.25"... only 2.0 and 2.5"Means you will be the tester for the diff pipe size.... And your comment of 2.25in pipes is best for 1.8MT is called as BULLSHIT by Frank from SC.... Added on April 11, 2012, 2:39 pm Oh yes... you are a real PIG.... fat piggy GHEYboy....!!! Maybe it is best... but Msia hard/cannot find such SS pipe size This post has been edited by MeToo: Apr 11 2012, 02:41 PM |
