Haha hi there.. is it? The notebook they gave me don't have overheating issue though
Yeap im in the company that's still doing HP's original business line - measurement instruments

.
Yap, hdd too, when they were using seagate hdd. I rma my notebook 3 times during the first year due to its HDD unable to format after a crash. after 1 year extra warranty period finish, HDD ngam nga KO a week after. and its still kicking alive for me after 6 years (this is my personal HP notebook).
My office is using HP elitebook series now, sometimes it got so hot that the plastic notebook cooler i put at the bottom of the notebook also got "distorted".
Not to mention its freaking heavy.
Last year, my colleague's elitebook caught fire, and the seagate hdd inside was burnt. (though the support team traced it to the cap in the power distribution module exploded, causing a cascading short circuit reaction).
Coincidence? I don't expect it to happen to the elitebook lines...considering we are paying >RM5k for each notebook...
