Match the quality, probably.. but surpassing, I really doubt it. The Japanese are very quality-conscious. More importantly, we should be asking, will Proton to be able to match Japanese cars in another 50 years? Honestly, I am wondering what value-added Mahathir is contributing to Proton as its adviser. Or is his salary and fringe benefits merely adding cost to Proton so that we have to pay more for it?
haha , i dont care about proton , i wont buy it .
For those high end car , i still believe japan > korea . Nissan GTR , Lexus etc..
But for those mid range car like camry , sonata , optima , elantra , city , vios which we will see very common on the street ,
japan car are totally losing out of their car design , quality .
Camry & Accord is still acceptable ,
but vios & city seriously i feel it doesnt diffrent with proton which i see all 'plastic plastic' inside the car .
