The connection is Unifi VIP20.
Every now and then I get reports from a few people about wifi dropouts....

The max number of clients that I've seen at one time is 40.

40 clients at one time? Seriously, if each person uses 2 devices (1 laptop + 1 smartphone), that's 20 persons in the house!!!

Err... actually it's more like 20 persons x 2. tongue.gif Not in a house
Have never seen all of them connected at once though. Most of the time, the same people experience wifi dropouts.
You guys reckon by using the 1043ND as the gateway the setup will be more stable?  IINM the cpu is only 100MHz faster (400MHz vs 300MHz) than 841ND.. will this make a big difference?

I guess maybe not the router, but the access point. So instead of depending on just 1 or 2 access points, have say 4 access points (1 from the router itself, and another three configured in AP mode), so that you could distribute it like in average just 10 clients on each AP.
