Saw the CX5 at the Mazda showroom. Design is really refreshing and I think it looks better in real than in photos.
Very generous spec but the rear seat seems too upright, which can be uncomfortable for long distance.
Was informed that it cannot be adjusted for tilt. But all in all, I think it's quite a value for the money for a mid-sized SUV compared to current CRV or the X-Trail. Tuscon and Sportage are slightly smaller and hence bigger gap in pricing.

i agree with some regarding the changing of rims, i actually suggested for the changes to be done for "new" bookings, or rather the bookings that started after 15th july as the stupid change is effective from that day to be fair to all whom book earlier than that, anyway from my humble opinion, i believe the change was done mainly because of MANY WHOM """"DID NOT BOOK""""" COMPLAIN ABOUT THE DAMN TIRE PRICE.
actual fact the MazdaCX5 has the option of 17 18 and 19, malaysia MazdaCX5 was said to be 19 at first as it's a premium brand with premium accessories, well now it will be fitted with 17, about the same circular size, just thicker tires, smaller rims. driveability is not affected as well as handling and so on, fuel economy too... benefit is less pricey and less road noise..but 19inch also not much road noise... downside is the look of the suv but 17inch aint that bad if any of u got really take a look of it.. it doesn't look bad compared to honda crv...no offense to anyone..

Talked to the SA, apparently he tried to sell me with the 17' even i booked at May, with the discount of rm1000 only.
I think not worth it lah.. hehehe

they are starting to become arrogant and cash in on the buyer side as they realise the car is popular... standard protocol. The salesman so arrogant when i view the car, no test drive, with the attitude of you want you come, you dont want fuxk off... Really disappointed.

i am not trying to say mazda is not good or what, infact i love the cx5 alot. But the problem of not having a test drive unless you pay 1k deposit which is fully refundable is lame. We are buying a 150k car. I feel like throwing 1000stacks of 1 dollar note just to show him i am not happy. their attitude is really...but otherwise its a really great car, if i have the chance to test drive the car, i would have already gotten the car now. really disappointed. And btw, my location is in JB, which dealer i wont disclose.

I did text lucifal but he says no stock also, probably someone else were in queue before me. Anyway, I managed to get a unit with another branch (cancel order) so hope to get the cx5 soon. Btw, I did test drive the car earlier, overall a great car with pretty good handling and quiet feel. it feels fine but a bit light weight when pushing the gas pedal, the power kick in but with a delay or 1 or2 seconds. Anyone feel that way? Also there were some minor rattling sound coming from the back of the test drive car?? Hopefully is nothing. 

Lets remove the CBU & compare the rest of the CKD version of SUV. That way, its a more realistic way of doing a comparison.

Hi all sifus, i just booked a CX 5 2 days ago. The dealer said the chances to get a CBU is very high, they have sold 5 units CBU  on this month (but only equiped with 17" Rims)
I'm at East Malaysia, price for 4x4 is RM172K, 4x2 is RM162K (CBU). The salesman told me that the CKD will availble very soon...

i have been told that a batch of CBU might be arriving in May, and SA told me that CBU still can be reserved right now. i was really confused even i told him there are SAs said no more CBU and only CKD is available for booking.
